Anna Wintour reportedly picks Chloe Malle as Vogue's new editor-in-chief
Anna Wintour has chosen Chloe Malle to be the next Vogue editor-in-chief though the job title has been renamed to "head of editorial content," according to the latest reports." Anna Wintour is clear-eyed, determined, and optimistic, but rarely daring," Lauren Sherman writes for Puck News. "Her tenure in the Cond Nast corporate suite has been defined by choosing editorial leaders whose visions would largely fit within hers. And this balance influenced her search for the next editor of American Vogue now called the head of editorial content."Who is Chloe Malle? See on Instagram Born and raised in New York City, Malle is 39 and has worked for Vogue since 2011. Over time, she became "editor of Vogue.com and the co-host of The Run-Through with Vogue podcast" alongside Chioma Nnadi, as outlined on Malle's author page on the publication's website.Malle subsequently worked "as an editor in the features department, then as a Contributing Editor." Eventually, she "edited the Flash section covering weddings, homes, parties and travel, the Met Gala special issues, and several Vogue books" such as Vogue Weddings: Brides, Dresses, Designers and Vogue Living: Country, City, Coast.Recently, Malle wrote the profile of Lauren Snchez Bezos on her wedding day to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos in June 2025. She's also written for publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Architectural Digest, among others. In June 2015, The New York Times wrote a story about "Chloe Franoise Malle, the daughter of Candice Bergen of New York and the late Louis Malle," marrying Graham McGrath Albert in Cahors, France. Bergen is a film and television actress known for Murphy Brown, Miss Congeniality, Book Club, and Boston Legal. Louis Malle is the famed French director of films including Elevator to the Gallows and Au Revoir, Les Enfants. At the time of her wedding, Malle, then 29, was Vogue's social editor, according to the Times.Sara Moonves and Nicole Phelps were also considered to become the new editor-in-chief of Vogue.Sara Moonves the editor-in-chief of W magazine and Nicole Phelps who has run verticals including Vogue Runway and Vogue Business were the other two names that Wintour considered before selecting Malle as her official successor, according to Puck."The fashion industry will support Malle in this position, and her pedigree will add to the allure," Sherman writes on Puck News. "She arrives with pop culture bona fides. She's also obviously smart and capable and even funny, as displayed via her dogged (no pun intended) pursuit of Dogue, a canine sendup of the magazine, which she's already published twice (probably once too many)."What is Anna Wintour doing next after leaving Vogue? Anna Wintour at the 2025 U.S. Open Tennis Championships in August 2025.Jean Catuffe/GC ImagesCoverage of Wintour's departure from her role as Vogue's editor-in-chief has largely missed an important detail: She's not really going anywhere.Wintour "is not 'stepping down' (as many headlines have mistakenly said), but instead shifting focus to her two global roles," a Cond Nast representative told the Daily Mail in June, noting that Wintour is still the global chief content officer and global editorial director of Cond Nast. "She will still be at shows, doing Met and Vogue World, etc. I imagine she will also be traveling to other markets more frequently now that she will have a bit more time to do so."In blunt terms, Wintour's choice to leave her lowest-ranking job (of all three positions she's held at Cond Nast) has been described as "God stepping down from being God."Why was the Vogue editor-in-chief role renamed to head of editorial content?Wintour appears to have told everyone in the running to become the new Vogue editor-in-chief that she was searching for a successor who could "transform the brand into a live-action content machine while [Wintour] spent more time abroad mentoring regional editorial leaders who were struggling to attract both advertisers and audiences in their respective markets," Puck News reports."Wintour doesn't aim to provoke. She seeks solutions, and Malle is the path of least resistance," Sherman writes. "Wintour is slated to make the announcement as early as Tuesday [September 2]."Are other Cond Nast publications also rebranding editor-in-chief roles?Yes, this has been the case for several top-ranking individuals at different verticals operating under Cond Nast. For instance, Katie Drummond (who runs WIRED) and Mark Guiducci (who runs Vanity Fair) are both referred to as global editorial directors of those brands not as editors-in-chief. Meanwhile, Samantha Barry (who runs Glamour), Amy Astley (who runs Architectural Digest), and Will Welch (who runs GQ) have all added the "global editorial director" label to their existing roles as editors-in-chief.The rebranding hasn't been consistent across the board, however, as Versha Sharma remains editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue and Fran Tirado is editor-in-chief of Them. David Remnick, who runs The New Yorker, is referred to as "editor" as well.

Fifth Harmony Reunites at Jonas Brothers Concert Teasing Whats Next for the Group
Fifth Harmony fans got the surprise of the summer when the group returned to the stage during a Jonas Brothers concert in Dallas on Sunday night. The reunion brought Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui and Normani together for the first time in years, performing their hits Worth It and Work From Home. Camila Cabello, who left the group in 2016 to pursue her solo career, was not part of the performance.A Moment Years in the MakingThe pop quartet announced an indefinite hiatus back in 2018, just months after releasing their self-titled album. Since then, each member has forged her own creative path. Normani launched her solo debut album, Dopamine, last year, while Brooke and Jane fueled reunion rumors with a holiday duet in 2023.Sundays cameo appearance not only thrilled the crowd, it also validated years of whispers that Fifth Harmony had been plotting a return.Social Media Clues and Merch DropsShortly after the performance, Fifth Harmonys official social media channels shared a clip of the moment with the caption: Where were you on August 31, 2025?That same phrase now appears across new merchandise on the groups relaunched website, complete with an updated logo. For fans, the message reads less like nostalgia and more like a teaser of things to come.Backstage, the members leaned into the excitement with a playful sing-along to their 2014 single BO$$, reminding everyone of the chemistry that made them a global phenomenon in the first place.Cabello Shows Support from AfarWhile Cabello wasnt physically part of the reunion, she had her own concert in Sydney, Australia, on Saturday, she showed her love by commenting four red heart emojis on Fifth Harmonys post. Her absence didnt dampen the nights energy. Instead, it highlighted how much the remaining four members still carry the Fifth Harmony legacy. What Comes NextFor now, no tour dates or official reunion plans have been announced. Industry speculation has hinted at possible shows in 2026, but the group has kept quiet about specifics. Still, their weekend appearance suggests that the hiatus may be nearing its end.Whether this was a one-night nostalgia trip or the beginning of something bigger, one thing is clear: Fifth Harmony knows how to keep fans guessing.Source

Pete Buttigieg shares sweet story of his & Chastens first date on couples 10th anniversary
Former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg shared a sweet post on social media to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his first date with his husband, Chasten Buttigieg. Ten years ago tonight, I went on a first date, arriving at the pub with tickets to that nights (South Bend) Cubs game in my pocket in case our chat over beer went really well, Pete wrote. Which it did. Related Most LGBTQ+ people under 50 want to get married one day A decade later, I cant imagine life without @chasten.buttigieg and the amazing family we have built together. And I cant wait to see what the next ten years and more will teach us about life and love. The post was accompanied by a photo of the couple with Clark, the Chicago Cubs mascot, presumably taken the same night they met, and ended up using those tickets Pete had in his pocket. The men have never been shy about their relationship, making history simply by kissingafter Petes announcement that he would run for president in 2020.The Buttigieges are now raising four-year-old twins Gus and Penelope, and, as Chasten told LGBTQ Nation earlier this summer, enjoying family life outside Washington, D.C. (at least for the time being, as rumors of a presidential run for Pete continue to swirl). But it has been far from all sunshine for the couple since they rose to fame when Pete first ran for president in 2020. They have also endured an onslaught of homophobia, which only became stronger when they adopted their twins as newborns. Both proud fathers have also continued to fight back and stand up for their family, clearly committed to remaining visible beacons of whats possible for LGBTQ+ people.A few months ago, Chasten who recently released a childrens book starring his own family also posted in honor of the couples 7th wedding anniversary, writing, Has it already been seven years since we said those vows? Oh, the mountains weve already climbed, love. And with you by my side, Id happily climb a thousand more. Kazoo counterprotestors drown out anti-LGBTQ+ preachers hate rally
About 200 pro-LGBTQ+ protestors drowned out an anti-LGBTQ+ Christian Nationalists religious rally in Seattle, Washington, last weekend by playing lesbian pop star Chappell Roans song Pink Pony Club on kazoos. The protestors set up their Kazoo Karaoke event in the citys Gas Works Park to oppose the Revive in 25 rally organized by Sean Feucht, Pink News reported. Feucht, a MAGA-supporting provocateur who holds rallies in blue state cities, has referred to the LGBTQ+ rights movement as a plan to destroy our culture and pervert our children. Related An anti-LGBTQ+ activist helped a drag queen become Americas #1 Christian musician Rae, who didnt give their last name when speaking to KUOW, said, The point of [Feuchts] event was to rage bait our community into eliciting a response. Police kept the two groups separated, and no arrests were reported.Counterprotestor James Watkins said the Kazoo Karaoke event was built around joy, adding, Its something thats built to express the reality that were trying to protect, which is the ability to form community and connect with people that are whatever kind of people they want to be.NEW: While the Revive in 25 Christian concert is going strong at Gas Works Park in Seattle, LGBTQ far-left activists have launched a Kazoo Karaoke counter protest about 100 yards away behind the concert stage. Cops are doing a tremendous job keeping the peace. pic.twitter.com/ek9UQN370k FRONTLINES (@FrontlinesTPUSA) August 31, 2025

Gays drowning out Christian hate with 'Pink Pony Club' on kazoo is the best thing youll see today
Over Labor Day weekend, LGBTQ+ protestors and allies gathered to put on a delightfully absurd show of resistance during a far-right concert in Seattles Gas Works Park. The event, Revive in 25, was a concert held by Christian activist group Let Us Worship, which is led by openly anti-LGBTQ+ leader Sean Feucht. In the past, Feucht has spewed hateful rhetoric, including likening Pride Month to a demonic agenda, and has said via social media that drag queens are demonic, sick, twisted and perverting the minds of children. He has also called for a Christian uprising. Feucht was formerly a worship leader at the controversial Bethel Church in Redding, California. So its no surprise that approximately 200 pro-LGBTQ+ protestors crowded into Gas Works Park to offer some excellent counter-programming. Specifically, they rocked out to Chappell Roans Pink Pony Club on kazoo, drowning out the nearby evangelical concert. (@) Folks on the right responded very normally. (@) If it sounds silly, that was by design. Speaking with KUOW, the Kazoo Karaoke organizer said the point was to bring clown energy to the protest. The point of [Let Us Worships] event was to rage bait our community into eliciting a response, Rae told the publication. So they began crafting a response that would diffuse that energy and inspiration struck.I pitched the kazoos. And my friend was like, Well, why dont we do like kazoo karaoke?" Rae said. "And we were like, What do all the gays and the girlies love right now? Its Chappell Roan."The intention was to meet the anti-LGBTQ+ hate with queer joy. It was a stark contrast to the May Day USA Prayer Rally held in the heart of Seattles queer district last May, which led to more aggressive clashes between attendees and counter-protestors and resulted in 22 arrests.Sometimes all you need to do to speak out is raise your fist to your mouth with a kazoo and belt out gay pop hits.

Chloe Malle Steps Into Top Role at Vogue as Anna Wintour Shifts Focus
After nearly four decades of shaping American fashion coverage, Anna Wintour is no longer Vogues U.S. editor-in-chief. The magazine announced Tuesday that Chloe Malle, current editor of Vogue.com, has been named head of editorial content for Vogue U.S.The move formalizes a changing of the guard while keeping Wintour firmly in power. She remains Vogues global editorial director and Cond Nasts chief content officer, overseeing a portfolio that stretches from Vanity Fair to Bon Apptit. From Digital Voice to Editorial ChiefMalle, 39, has been steadily building her career inside Vogue. She first joined the magazine in 2011 as social editor, covering weddings and parties, then became a contributing editor in 2016. By 2023, she was leading Vogue.com, shaping its digital presence and hosting The Run-Through with Vogue, the magazines podcast co-led with British Vogues Chioma Nnadi.Shes interviewed A-listers like Gigi Hadid and Greta Gerwig, overseen themed projects including the playful digital-only Dogue issue, and penned major cover stories such as Lauren Snchezs June feature timed to her wedding with Jeff Bezos.Wintours EndorsementWintour, 75, praised her successors ability to balance Vogues legacy with modern demands.Chloe has often shown that she can carry American Vogues history while pushing it forward, Wintour said in a statement. I am excited to continue working with her, not only as her mentor but also as her student.Malle echoed that sentiment in Vogues announcement, saying she felt fortunate to still have Anna just down the hall. The Succession RaceSpeculation over who would inherit Wintours U.S. role had been intense since she revealed in June that she would step back from some duties. The posting even sparked a viral betting market. Names floated included Instagram fashion executive Eva Chen, W magazine editor Sara Moonves, and Vogue executive Nicole Phelps.A Familiar Name in CultureMalles appointment also drew attention because of her lineage. She is the daughter of actress Candice Bergen, remembered both for Murphy Brown and her cameo as Carrie Bradshaws Vogue editor on Sex and the City, and French director Louis Malle. But Malle has worked to establish her own voice. In a recent interview with The New York Times, she acknowledged that no one can replace Anna, but hinted at potential shifts, including reducing the frequency of Vogues print editions in favor of themed issues.Whats Next for VogueMalles challenge will be navigating fashions breakneck digital cycle while keeping Vogues print edition relevant. For readers, the change signals the start of a new chapter. one that keeps Wintours influence intact but places fresh creative responsibility on Malle.Source

Pentagon authorizes up to 600 military lawyers to serve as temporary immigration judges
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth listens as President Donald Trump speaks during an event signing a proclamation honoring the fourth anniversary of the attack at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan, in the Oval Office of the White House, Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, in Washington. (AP Photo/Alex Brandon)2025-09-02T17:49:05Z WASHINGTON (AP) Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has approved sending up to 600 military lawyers to the Justice Department to serve as temporary immigration judges, according to a memo reviewed by The Associated Press. The military will begin sending groups of 150 attorneys both military and civilians to the Justice Department as soon as practicable and the military services should have the first round of people identified by next week, according to the memo, dated Aug. 27.The effort comes as the Trump administration cracks down on immigration across the country, ramping up arrests and deportations. Immigration courts also already are dealing with a massive backlog of roughly 3.5 million cases that has ballooned in recent years. However, numerous immigration judges have been fired or left voluntarily after taking deferred resignations offered by the administration, according to their union. The International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers, said in July that at least 17 immigration judges had been fired without cause in courts across the country. That has left about 600 immigration judges, union figures show, meaning the Pentagon move will double their ranks. The move is being done at the request of the Justice Department, and the memo noted that the details will initially last no more than 179 days but can be renewable. When asked about the move, a DOJ spokesperson referred questions about the plan to the Defense Department. Pentagon officials directed questions to the White House. A White House official said Tuesday that the administration is looking at a variety of options to help resolve the significant backlog of immigration cases, including hiring additional immigration judges. The official said the matter should be a priority that everyone including those waiting for adjudication can rally around.___Associated Press writers Will Weissert, Rebecca Santana and Eric Tucker contributed to this report.

Ohio State players run on to the field for their NCAA college football game against Texas, Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio. (AP Photo/Jay LaPrete)2025-09-02T18:03:47Z Ohio State climbed to No. 1 in The Associated Press Top 25 college football poll on Tuesday, LSU and Miami moved into the top five, and Florida State jumped back into the rankings at the expense of Alabama, which plummeted to its lowest spot in 17 seasons. The defending national champion Buckeyes received 55 of 66 first-place votes to move up two spots after their win over preseason No. 1 Texas. Ohio State is at the top of a regular-season Top 25 for the first time since November 2015. Texas dropped to No. 7 as the media voters shuffled the rankings following a topsy-turvy Labor Day weekend. It was only the second time, and first since 1972, that two top-five teams lost in Week 1 and the first time four top-10 teams lost. Only three teams in the Top 25 are in the same spot they were in the preseason poll.Penn State got seven first-place votes and remained No. 2. LSU, which received three first first-place votes, was followed by Georgia and Miami to round out the top five. Oregon got the other first-place vote and was followed by Texas, Clemson, Notre Dame and South Carolina.LSU jumped six spots after winning at Clemson and Miami got a five-rung promotion for its victory over Notre Dame. The biggest movers in the poll were Florida State and Alabama after the Seminoles 31-17 victory in their head-to-head matchup: Florida State, 15 spots outside the Top 25 in the preseason, is now No. 14. Alabama dropped all the way from No. 8 to No. 21 its lowest ranking since it was No. 24 in the 2008 preseason poll. That was the second of Nick Sabans 17 teams in Tuscaloosa. Its been quite a turnabout for Florida State. The Seminoles were No. 10 in the 2024 preseason, lost their first two games, finished 2-10 and werent ranked again until now. In and outUtah, at No. 25, joins Florida State as the only newcomers this week. The Utes had received the second-most points, behind BYU, among teams outside the preseason Top 25. Utah got more credit for beating UCLA 43-10 on the road than BYU got for hammering FCS foe Portland State. The Utes are ranked for the first time since last October, when they were at the front end of a seven-game losing streak. Boise State, which had been No. 25, received no votes following its 34-7 loss at South Florida. The Broncos had appeared in 14 straight polls. The other team to drop out of the poll was No. 17 Kansas State, which followed up its season-opening loss to Iowa State with a last-minute home win over FCS team North Dakota.Poll points Ohio State is the first team to take over the top spot in the first regular-season poll since Alabama in 2012. It was the biggest jump to No. 1 in the first regular-season poll since Southern California was promoted from No. 3 in 2008. Texas fall was the biggest for a preseason No. 1 since Auburn dropped to No. 8 in the first regular-season poll of 1984. LSU has its highest ranking after Week 1 since it was No. 3 in 2012, and Miami has its highest ranking after Week 1 since it was No. 5 in 2004. South Carolina is in the top 10 in the regular season for the first time since it was No. 8 in December 2013. Conference callSEC 10 ranked teams (Nos. 3, 4, 7, 10, 13, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22)Big Ten 6 (Nos. 1, 2, 6, 11, 15, 23)ACC 4 (Nos. 5, 8, 14, 17)Big 12 4 (Nos. 12, 16, 24, 25)Independent 1 (No. 9)Ranked vs. rankedNo. 15 Michigan at No. 18 Oklahoma: This weekends game will be the first meeting since Oklahoma beat the Wolverines in the Orange Bowl to win the 1975 national championship. Protestors across Florida rally against rainbow crosswalk removals: We will not be erased
Protesters took to the streets in two Florida cities over the weekend to oppose the state-mandated removal of rainbow crosswalks, including one in Orlando established as a memorial to those who died in the 2016 mass shooting at LGBTQ+ nightclub Pulse.Hundreds of people marched in Miami Beach on Sunday in the Forever Proud March organized by Miami Beach Commissioner Alex Fernandez and the Greater Miami LGBT Chamber of Commerce, CBS News Miami reports. The demonstration followed a smaller protest in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, which saw dozens of people rallying on a local beach with rainbow flags and signs reading, We will not be erased. Related Ron DeSantis rages at cities that virtue signal with rainbow crosswalks The protests came as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) continues its crackdown on rainbow crosswalks across the state. In July, anti-LGBTQ+ Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) signed a law directing the FDOT to ensure compliance with FDOTs uniform system for traffic control devices, a department spokesperson told Fox 13 in a statement. The law effectively bans all pavement art and murals like rainbow crosswalks, regardless of their political message. Insights for the LGBTQ+ community Subscribe to our briefing for insights into how politics impacts the LGBTQ+ community and more. Subscribe to our Newsletter today The new law is a response to a directive from U.S. Transportation Secretary and former reality TV personality Sean Duffy, who wrote in a July 1 letter to the nations governors that all non-freeway intersections and crosswalks must be kept free from distractions. In a subsequent X post, Duffy said that Taxpayers expect their dollars to fund safe streets, not rainbow crosswalks. While some municipalities have already removed their rainbow crosswalks, the Florida law has been met with resistance. FDOT officials painted over the Pulse memorial in Orlando last month, but were forced to paint over it again after protestors restored the rainbow colors to the road. Protesters have returned to the site multiple times to restore the colors with chalk, leading state police to patrol the intersection around the clock. 29-year-old Orestes Sebastian Suarez was arrested Friday for interfering with a traffic control device after he rubbed chalk under his shoes and left rainbow footprints on the Pulse crosswalk. On Saturday, a judge threw the case out, ruling that police had no probable cause to arrest him.On Sunday, three more people were arrested during a Chalk For Pride protest at the same crosswalk. All three face the same charge as Suarez, according to Orlandos News 6.Officials in Key West and Delray Beach are also fighting the DeSantis administrations directive despite threats from the FDOT that state funds may be withheld from cities that dont comply. It feels like they were trying to scrounge up the next thing, the next petty tactic they can use to make us feel hopeless, to make us feel like nothing, and I think today shows that they failed, protester Maxx Fenning told CBS News Miami at Sundays march in Miami Beach. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, who also attended the Forever Proud March, told the station that removing the street art doesnt make sense. Not only is it arbitrary, but it promotes about hate, its about erasing peoples identity, and its about taking over local government when local government should have the right to speak up on behalf of its residents, she said. While state and federal officials have said that street art distracts drivers, data from the Bloomberg Philanthropies 2022 Asphalt Art Safety Study contradicts that claim. The study found that crashes involving pedestrians or cyclists drop 50% at painted intersections. It also reported a 25% decrease in conflicts between drivers and pedestrians, a 27% increase in drivers immediately yielding to pedestrians, and a 38% decrease in pedestrians crossing when the walk signal was not lit at intersections involving public art. The data also revealed that injuries resulting from crashes drop 37% in painted intersections. The facts are clear our rainbow crosswalk is in fact safer than some of our other crosswalks along Ocean Drive, Miami Beach Commissioner Alex Fernandez wrote in a recent Instagram post, Whats not good for safety is erasing symbols of inclusion actions that embolden intolerant behavior. I will fight to protect it for our safety, for our freedom, for our dignity, and for the values Miami Beach will never back down from.Subscribe to theLGBTQ Nation newsletterand be the first to know about the latest headlines shaping LGBTQ+ communities worldwide.

Tariff support plummets as prices rise: Americans have gotten a taste & they spit it right out
CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten outlined how Americans have overwhelmingly turned against the presidents tariffs, with poll numbers showing a plummeting level of support. Enten explained that in November of 2024, 52% of Americans supported the tariffs while 48% were opposed. Now, 60% are opposed, with 40% in favor. Related Sitting Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is now just calling trans people Satan The opposition, up like a rocket, Enten emphasized, adding, The Americans have gotten a taste of the tariffs and they spit it right out.He said 77% of Americans now believe tariffs raise prices in the short term and only 4% think the opposite. In the long term, numbers are only slightly better, with 25% thinking they lower prices and 50% still thinking they increase them. Insights for the LGBTQ+ community Subscribe to our briefing for insights into how politics impacts the LGBTQ+ community and more. Subscribe to our Newsletter today He then explained how this has affected the presidents approval rating overall, explaining that the economy and tariffs are the primary reasons people are dissatisfied with him.The bottom line is this: when prices go up, presidential approval ratings go down, and thats exactly what we are seeing in the polling data, Enten said. Multiple courts have ruled against the administrations tariffs after a group of small businesses filed a lawsuit; however, the administration is allowed to implement them while it appeals the latest decision to the Supreme Court. The executive order imposing the tariffs relied on the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which grants the president the ability to deal with an unusual and extraordinary threat to a declared national emergency, the lawsuit states. But the order is unconstitutional and unlawful, the filing asserts, because the imposition of tariffs is not among the expanded powers a president is granted under the act, nor does the state of U.S. trade constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the nation.Subscribe to theLGBTQ Nation newsletterand be the first to know about the latest headlines shaping LGBTQ+ communities worldwide.

Josh O'Connor describes spitting in Paul Mescal's mouth in 'The History of Sound'
We have been teased with the prospect of seeing Josh OConnor and Paul Mescal playing gay lovers in The History of Sound for years, but now the films release is right around the corner, and were getting teased yet again, this time by the actors themselves. Over the weekend, the film was screened at the Telluride Film Festival, and during a Q&A after the showing, OConnor divulged some delicious details about a certain scene that has everyone talking. The History of Sound is a gay romance set during WWI, which follows Lionel (Mescal) and David (OConnor) as they embark on a cross-country trip to record the lives, voices, and music of their countrymen. In the film, before the two men ever have sex, there is a scene which GQ calls the horniest moment in the film where David spits water in Lionels mouth. We were kind of keeping ourselves separate, and really in the characters, and then we did the first take, and it was the spit, and I justit just dribbled down me, and Paul was like waiting, OConnor says with a laugh while miming Mescal lying back with his mouth wide open.@coffeefrijolitoThis just made me buy tickets to opening night! #joshoconnor #paulmescal #thehistoryofsound #spitscene #fypOConnor is so hot, wed let him spit in our mouths, too.The two men laughed and then Mescal said, If you clipped this without sound it would beThe film has gotten mixed reviews so far, but when it premieres in theaters on September 12, well be seated for that scene alone!

Rudy Giuliani Awarded Presidential Medal Of Incest
WASHINGTONLauded as a generational advocate for sexual contact between relatives, former New York City mayor and man who married his cousin Rudy Giuliani was awarded the Presidential Medal of Incest at a White House ceremony Tuesday. Not only is Rudy a great American patriot, but he inspires all of us to summon the bravery to put the moves on our hot cousins, said President Donald Trump, draping the nations highest honor for civilians who have sex with their family members onto a misty-eyed Giuliani. In recognition of his many years of keeping his bloodline pure, he now joins a line of great American citizens: incestuous thinkers like Albert Einstein, incestuous writers like Edgar Allan Poe, incestuous leaders like John C. Calhoun, and incestuous musicians like Jerry Lee Lewis. Rudy is the first Italian American to receive this award, and his work has shown the country that no matter how unrelated your parents were, you can still achieve great inbreeding. Prior to the ceremony, numerous critics argued that Giuliani was unqualified for such a distinguished honor, observing that he had only married his second cousin. The post Rudy Giuliani Awarded Presidential Medal Of Incest appeared first on The Onion.

Hackers Threaten to Submit Artists' Data to AI Models If Art Site Doesn't Pay Up
An old school ransomware attack has a new twist: threatening to feed data to AI companies so itll be added to LLM datasets.Artists&Clients is a website that connects independent artists with interested clients. Around August 30, a message appeared on Artists&Clients attributed to the ransomware group LunaLock. We have breached the website Artists&Clients to steal and encrypt all its data, the message on the site said, according to screenshots taken before the site went down on Tuesday. If you are a user of this website, you are urged to contact the owners and insist that they pay our ransom. If this ransom is not paid, we will release all data publicly on this Tor site, including source code and personal data of users. Additionally, we will submit all artwork to AI companies to be added to training datasets.LunaLock promised to delete the stolen data and allow users to decrypt their files if the sites owner paid a $50,000 ransom. Payment is accepted in either Bitcoin or Monero, the notice put on the site by the hackers said. The ransom note included a countdown timer that gave the sites owners several days to cough up the cash. If you do not pay, all files will be leaked, including personal user data. This may cause you to be subject to fines and penalties under the GDPR and other laws. Most of LunaLocks threat is standard language for a ransomware attack. Whats new is the explicit threat to give the sites datawhich includes the unique artwork and information of its usersto AI companies. This is the first time I see a threat actor use training AI models as part of their extortion tactic, Tammy Harper, a senior threat intelligence researcher at the cyber security company Flare, told 404 Media. Before this it was kind of an assumption that victim data could end up being shared through AI models. Especially if the groups use it to find leverage and process the data to calculate ransom amounts.Harper said that this kind of threat could be effective against artists. Its a very sensitive subject for this type of victim (an art marketplace.) LunaLock is definitely using and hoping for the clients and artists of the victim to pressure them into paying the ransom. Its unclear how LunaLock would get the artistic data to AI companiesOf course, it might be as simple as setting up an independent website full of the data on the open web and waiting for one of the LLMs crawlers to come and devour the information. Or just starting a chat with the companies respective chatbots and uploading the images, depending on each companys policy on how they train their AIs based on user uploads. As of this writing, Artists&Clients is down and attempts to reach it trigger a Cloudflare error. But users and cyber security accounts are sharing screenshots of the ransomware note on social media. Google also indexed the ransom note and as of writing, it appears in the description of the site when you look it up in the search engine.Artists&Clients did not respond to 404 Medias request for a comment.

Imane Khelif challenges World Boxing over mandatory sex test policy
Cisgender Algerian boxer Imane Khelif has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport after the World Boxing Championships moved to bar her from competition unless she undergoes a genetic sex test. The championships begin this week.Earlier this year, World Boxing announced a new policy requiring all athletes to undergo mandatory sex testing, explicitly naming Khelif in its statement. In light of plans to introduce this policy and the particular circumstances surrounding some boxers that competed at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, World Boxing has written to the Algerian Boxing Federation to inform it that Imane Khelif will not be allowed to participate in the female category at the Eindhoven Box Cup or any World Boxing event until Imane Khelif undergoes sex testing, the organization said in a press release. Related Gold medalist boxer Imane Khelif forced to take a test to prove shes not trans On Monday, the court rejected Khelifs request to temporarily lift the ban while her case proceeds, noting that both sides are exchanging written arguments and will set a hearing once they agree on a date. This is not the first time Khelif has been barred from competition. In 2023, the International Boxing Association disqualified both her and Taiwanese gold medalist Lin Yu-ting after claiming they failed sex eligibility tests, though the International Olympic Committee later cleared them to compete. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Khelifs swift victory over Italys Angela Carini and her eventual gold medal sparked a media firestorm, with figures like Elon Musk and J.K. Rowling falsely labeling her as transgender. Insights for the LGBTQ+ community Subscribe to our briefing for insights into how politics impacts the LGBTQ+ community and more. Subscribe to our Newsletter today I am fully qualified to take part in this competition, I am a woman. I was born a woman, Ive lived as a woman and Ive competed as a woman, Khelif said. Theres no doubt that there are enemies of success, and that gives my success a special taste because of these attacks.Khelifs and Lins cases highlight the long and contested history of sex testing in womens athletics. In 2020, Human Rights Watch published a report documenting nearly eight decades of sex verification practices. They found that, since the mid-20th century, sports authorities have subjected women athletes especially women of color and those from the Global South to invasive verification practices. Early nude parades were replaced by hyperandrogenism regulations that targeted athletes such as Caster Semenya and Dutee Chand, and gave rise to current genetic tests. Lin was also expected to participate in the upcoming World Championships, but has since withdrawn, despite her coach saying in August that she had not considered withdrawing from the competition because of the new gender tests.Subscribe to theLGBTQ Nation newsletterand be the first to know about the latest headlines shaping LGBTQ+ communities worldwide.

Jane Krakowski Joins Broadways Smash Hit Oh, Mary! as New Leading Lady
Jane Krakowski is heading back to Broadway, and this time, shes bringing her signature flair to the White House. The Tony-winning actress has officially been announced as the next star to take on the lead role in Broadways runaway hit Oh, Mary!, stepping into the corseted shoes of Mary Todd Lincoln for a strictly limited, eight-week run beginning October 14.Krakowski will succeed two-time RuPauls Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon, who wraps up her celebrated run on September 28. Hannah Solow, a longtime understudy for the role since the shows original Off-Broadway debut, will temporarily assume the role from September 30 to October 12.The show, which has become a cultural juggernaut since opening on Broadway on July 11, 2024, was written by and originally starred Cole Escola. Their outrageous, genre-defying portrayal of a deeply unhinged and fabulously fictionalized Mary Todd Lincoln earned Escola a Tony Award and set the tone for a parade of celebrated guest stars. Since Escolas exit, the role has been taken on by a dazzling lineup including Tituss Burgess, Betty Gilpin, and now Jinkx Monsooneach bringing their own flavor to this irreverent historical fantasia. From Camp to Classic: Oh, Mary!s Meteoric RiseDirected by Tony Award winner Sam Pinkleton, Oh, Mary! is an audacious, queer-leaning dark comedy that imagines Abraham Lincolns famously eccentric wife as a boozy, needy, wildly campy theatrical diva, complete with musical interludes, biting satire, and wigs that deserve their own billing. What began as a cult hit Off-Broadway quickly skyrocketed to Broadway acclaim, smashing box office records and becoming the first production of the 20242025 Broadway season to fully recoup its investment. The show has shattered its own weekly gross twelve times since opening and is now selling tickets through July 5, 2026.Its enduring popularity lies not only in its absurdist take on American history but also in its revolving-door casting of queer icons and theatre powerhouses. With Jane Krakowski taking the reins, the show is poised to attract even more mainstream and LGBTQ+ audiences eager to see one of Broadways brightest lights take on one of its most eccentric roles.A Role Fit for a Queen (of Comedy)In a statement, Krakowski expressed both her gratitude and her humor, saying:Known for her scene-stealing roles as Jenna Maroney on NBCs 30 Rock and Jacqueline White on Netflixs Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Krakowski brings decades of comedic prowess and musical talent to the stage. But Broadway is no side gig for hershes a bona fide theatre darling. She won a Tony Award for her sultry and spirited turn as Carla in the 2003 revival of Nine, and earned nominations for She Loves Me (2016) and Grand Hotel (1989). Her other Broadway credits include Company, Once Upon a Mattress, Tartuffe, and Starlight Express. Across the pond, she won an Olivier Award for her role in Guys and Dolls in Londons West End.Her return to the Broadway stage is not just a casting coup, its a homecoming.Passing the TorchJinkx Monsoons time in Oh, Mary! has been met with widespread acclaim, with critics praising her blend of pathos and pure absurdity. Her exit on September 28 will mark the end of yet another successful run for the production, which has become a platform for queer performers to stretch their theatrical chops in wildly unexpected ways.Hannah Solow, a trusted understudy with intimate familiarity with the shows chaotic rhythm and unpredictable energy, will take over for a two-week run before Krakowski begins her tenure. Her brief turn offers audiences a unique glimpse into the evolution of the shows central role from backstage to spotlight.A Queer Cultural MomentWhat makes Oh, Mary! such a standout in the current Broadway landscape is its unabashed queerness and its refusal to play by the rules. The play doesnt just flirt with camp, it runs a full marathon in stilettos. By casting a rotating roster of queer and gender-diverse performers in the lead, the production has become a living, breathing celebration of LGBTQ+ talent. Its creator, Cole Escola, described the show as a love letter to gay chaos, historical inaccuracy, and the melodrama of identity. And that ethos continues with every new cast member who takes the stage.Whether its Burgess belting opera, Gilpin serving tragic comedy realness, or Jinkx Monsoon transforming Lincolns widow into a glam-rock siren, Oh, Mary! delivers a masterclass in theatrical transformation.Krakowskis turn promises to be just as iconic, with her Broadway pedigree and comedic chops perfectly suited for the roles high drama and lowbrow hilarity.Tickets and Show InfoOh, Mary! is currently playing at the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway. Tickets are available now through July 5, 2026, with Krakowski performing from October 14 for a limited eight-week run.For ticketing and show details, visit OhMaryOnBroadway.com or official Broadway ticketing platforms.Source
