Is Vibeforge a Safe Space
Everyone Deserves To Feel Safe In Who They Are.
Our platform is a Safe Space for anyone aged 15 years or older who self-identifies as gay, lesbian, bi, transgender, queer or questioning, and non-binary. This includes trans women/men, non-binary and gender-fluid people, people of color, older persons, disabled persons, straight allies, and supporters of the LGBTQ community. Our goal is to provide a welcoming space for all.
To maintain safety and comfort, please follow the community guidelines. If you feel unsafe or witness problematic behavior, contact a group administrator. These guidelines may be updated as needed. Have resources to add for your area? Email us at: support@vibeforge.co.
IP Address Tracking
We track all IP addresses connecting to our platform and their associated accounts. This information is only shared with law enforcement in cases of emergency or legal matters.
Age Limit
Participants must be 15 years old or older. Platform rules and Safe Space guidelines apply.
Introduce Yourself
If you're uncomfortable, you can give a limited introduction (e.g., first name only) and use an avatar instead of a personal photo.
Video Chats
You may turn your video off if you're uncomfortable. You're welcome to turn it on briefly for introductions and then switch it off.
Pronouns
Ask others for their pronouns and use them respectfully. Mistakes happen—apologize and move on.
Assumptions
Avoid making assumptions about anyone’s identity or lived experiences. Recognize how race, class, gender, ability, or age may shape perspectives. Avoid generalizing statements.
Oppressive Behavior
Discrimination of any kind is not tolerated. This includes racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, fatphobia, ageism, and religious or cultural intolerance. Respect boundaries and avoid using slurs, especially if they are not yours to reclaim. Allow neurodivergent individuals and others to engage at their own pace.
Sexual Harassment
Zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment. No pornography, nudity, or sexually explicit content of any kind, including written or illustrated forms. Avoid inappropriate comments, jokes, or songs of a sexual nature.
Accessible Language
Use clear and inclusive language. Avoid acronyms and in-jokes. Briefly explain references or concepts for everyone’s understanding.
Content Warnings
Provide content warnings when discussing sensitive topics like mental illness or abuse. Ask permission before bringing up potentially triggering subjects, and wait for consent before posting.
Space to Speak
Make space for marginalized voices. Don’t dominate conversations—ensure quieter individuals feel welcome to speak.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Respect that not everyone is "out" outside this platform. Don’t share anyone’s identity or contact info without their explicit consent.
Social Media
These Safe Space guidelines apply to all social platforms, including X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. Be mindful of what you share.
