CNN pollster predicts big beautiful midterms for Democrats
Chief CNN data analyst Harry Enten predicts Republicans will be in for a rude awakening come midterm elections if the GOPs so-called Big Beautiful Bill comes to pass. Enten took viewers through the disastrous polling data on the bill, which has found massive disapproval among both Democrats and Republicans. He said that if Congress does pass it, the Democrats should expect the 2026 midterms to be a big beautiful night. The House passed the Big Beautiful Bill Act (also known as House Resolution 1) by a single vote in late May. It is expected to add $2.4 trillion to the national debt by increasing spending as well as cutting taxes. The bill will be financed partly with debt and partly with deep cuts to social safety nets and federal health care programs, including cuts to gender-affirming care for trans people, including adults, in federal insurance programs.
