Her manager, TJ Liedel, confirmed to the outlet that Love had entered a facility in Texas. Her family, friends, and fans all know the love and light that Lexi has. We know how difficult it is to face these things head on. Were extremely proud of the courage she has to face publicly, and to be a representative for so many in the community, Liedel told EW.On May 19, however, Love once again took to Instagram to announce that despite achieving 19 days of sobriety, shed opted to leave rehab due to some unforeseen circumstances, overwhelming biass [sic] and lack of professionalism at the facility. Love has also used her platform to blast the current presidential administrations decision to remove LGBTQ+ and HIV resources from federal government webpages. As LGBTQ Nations sibling site Queerty reported in January, Love posted a message seemingly coming out as HIV-positive and highlighting the impact the administrations move would have on people like her.My health and well being as an entertainer is at risk now, she wrote in a since deleted Instagram post. I am personally affected by this stance and will work to use this new platform to not only find resources for myself but those who I am connected to socially and here! Im so sorry everyone! This is hard and its frustrating and its insulting. My heart is broken for the lack of education surrounding HIV protection in our community; I really did not think that I would have to explain myself like this today but it seems appropriate and necessary, she added in response to one fans comment. I actually utilized the government funded program for over 10 years and its the only reason that I am alive today.Subscribe to theLGBTQ Nation newsletterand be the first to know about the latest headlines shaping LGBTQ+ communities worldwide.
