In response to Crockett, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) claimed the presidents approval rating is soaring and Congressional approval is not.Crockett did not let him get away with that lie. She immediately read a series of recent headlines on how polls show plummeting support for the president, especially since his decision to strike Iran, which one poll found caused his approval rating to drop to a term low.As she read each headline, Greene seemed increasingly annoyed as she had to order each new piece of information to be added to the official record. Indeed, approval ratings are abysmal for the president, with several polls showing record lows for his second term amidst turmoil with Iran, rising tariffs, and a controversial budget bill that could lead to millions of Americans losing health insurance.The Ipsos/Reuters poll conducted from June 21 to 23 found the presidents approval rating at -16 points, down from -12 a week prior. The American Research Group poll conducted from June 17-20 put the number at -21, down from -14 in May.
