A new poll shows former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg leading among possible Democratic presidential nominees in 2028.Emerson College Polling asked Democratic Primary voters who they would support from a list of possible Democratic presidential candidates. The list included Buttigieg, former Vice President Kamala Harris, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and several other prominent Democrats. The poll, conducted on June 24 and 25, was the first Emerson poll of the year to find a negative approval rating for the president. Forty-five percent of all voters in the poll said that they approve of the job he is doing as president, while 46% said they disapprove.
