Man attacked by MAGA supporters yelling homophobic slurs in the countrys gayest town
A man said he was attacked in Provincetown, Massachusetts, by three men shouting homophobic slurs who also had a bumper sticker supporting the president on their car.Chris Kostka was walking from a friends house in the early hours of Monday morning after a night out when the men got out of their car and approached him. All of a sudden, I just feel myself getting pushed to the ground, he told NBC Boston. I fly forward and I turn I see three guys, and of course, Im stunned from just being thrown to the pavement and I just cover my face, go into a fetal position as Im getting kicked and getting called some gay slurs. Nowadays things like this happen all the time, and it could end up a lot worse.Kostka said he had let his guard down since Provincetown is an LGBTQ+ hotspot. The small town has long been known as one of the gayest towns in America. Its such a happy place for everyone, so safe and you just dont expect that. So for it to come out of the blue, you dont know what to think.He said the men fled in their black Lexus sedan after the attack. Police are investigating it as a possible hate crime. The Provincetown Police Department is taking this report very seriously and has detectives actively investigating the incident, police said in a statement. Anyone with information should contact Det.
