'Harry Potter' star joins the fight for trans rights despite J.K. Rowling's views
Actor Paapa Essiedu may be set to star as Severus Snape in the upcoming Harry Potter television series, but that doesnt mean he sides with JK Rowling when it comes to her anti-trans views. The 34-year-old British actor is one of 400 TV and film professionals who have signed an open letter expressing their solidarity with the trans community in the wake of the UK Supreme Courts April 17 ruling that defined women based on biological sex, excluding trans women. The ruling, which is predicted to have broad-reaching implications for the trans and non-binary community and was financially backed by Rowling, undermines the lived reality and threatens the safety of trans, non-binary and intersex people living in the UK, the open letter reads.Essiedu isnt the only star of the Harry Potter franchise to sign the letter. Fantastic Beasts star Eddie Redmayne and Katie Leung, who played Cho Chang in the original Harry Potter films, have both spoken out against Rowling in the past and signed the letter. The letter was developed by development producer Sid Strickland of Motive Pictures and script editor Jack Casey after the ruling came out and it became clear that it would exclude trans people from single-sex facilities, including industry sets and movie theaters, Deadline reports. The UK film and television industry is at the forefront of cultural change. In recent years, we have come together in response to the Me Too and Black Lives Matter movements, to reflect upon our working practices and uplift a broad spectrum of voices in our society, the letter said. We must now urgently work to ensure that our trans, non-binary and intersex colleagues, collaborators and audiences are protected from discrimination and harassment in all areas of the industry, whether on set, in a production office or at a cinema.Essiedu signed his name to the letter despite starring in HBOs upcoming TV adaptation of Rowlings Harry Potter series, and Rowlings financial support of the anti-trans policy and her celebrity social media posts once the Supreme Court ruled in her favor. The letter was also signed by nonbinary The Last of Us Star Bella Ramsey and Bridgerton actress Nicola Coughlan, who recently raised 120,000 for the trans rights charity Not a Phase, and Fantastic Beasts star Eddie Redmayne, who has spoken out against Rowlings anti-trans views in the past. And even more Harry Potter stars signed their names, too. Trevor White, who played Harry Potter in the Canadian premiere of the stage production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child signed alongside Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince actress Bessie Carter (who is also Professor Umbridge actress Imelda Stauntons daughter), younger Lily Potter actress Amy Forest, Harry Potter series actress Ayoola Smart, and Eleanor Matsuura, who appeared in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 as a character named "Yaxleys Henchwoman" were also signatories.

Soccer star Ashlyn Harris says she and girlfriend Sophia Bush have a storybook relationship
Retired soccer star Ashlyn Harris is opening up about motherhood and her relationship with actress Sophia Bush in a new candid interview. On this weeks episode of the Second Wind podcast, the 39-year-old Olympic goalkeeper talked about everything from the drug addiction she recently went public with to the love she shares with her famous girlfriend to her feelings around gender.Harris told hosts Marion Jones, a five-time Olympic champion and track and field legend and bestselling author Suzanne Evans, that her controversial relationship with Bush many people speculated that the two had an affair while they were still married to other people is the stuff fairytales are made of.What I love so much about her is she makes me feel the way I only thought we read about in books, Harris said. She holds up a mirror and makes me feel like I'm the best human, I'm the best mother, and it's exactly what I needed and what I need to heal so much pain and trauma and grief in my life. She also said that Bush is helping her accept that she is a good mom and not second-guess herself so much.I made a promise that my kids wouldn't feel the same kind of pain that I did as a kid, and I put a lot of pressure on myself, and she's just like, You are the best mom. I just have never seen someone move and act the way you do. And it's this type of reassurance that she came into my life when I was an open wound, and she's so selfless and such a beautiful person that even in the hardest season of her life, she wants to help me heal, which is something I'll never forget, Harris explained. One of the most powerful aspects of the couples relationship is that Harris never feels judged for her flaws because Bush doesnt see her pain and scars as an issue, but instead as her superpower. She sees it as a superpower, and she's showing and teaching me every day to use it in such a way that heals and helps other people, that I have an incredible gift to be not only a parent, but the way I show up for people, Harris said. Shes just made my life so much richer. I don't even know how to express it or articulate it.Bush has become her soft place to fall, and she doesnt feel the need to always be strong around her, admitting, I can just unravel in moments and know that she's going to catch me.When it comes to gender expression, Harris told the podcasters that she doesnt buy into that man woman role model and thinks of herself as being pretty gender neutral.I mean, I'm a pretty gender neutral person, she said. I have a lot of me is very masculine, and there are parts of me that are very soft and sensitive. I honestly don't overthink it. I think that is more of a product of what society tells us that things have to be this way, and there needs to be more masculine energy or this or that. I don't really buy into all that crap.Early in the interview, Harris also got candid about her past struggle with drugs while she was in college, something that she opened up about in early April.Harris admitted that trying to pay her way through college, the pressure of being at the top of her game, and prescription for Adderall led to her spiral into drug abuse.I was a part of the youth national team system since I was 13, so I was getting drug tested, this was a way for me to cheat the system, she said candidly. This was prescribed to me. I don't have an addiction. Oh, this is not me using cocaine. Well, it sure f*cking felt like it. So it's just this process of unfiltered, unexpressed grief and pain I didn't know how to deal with.

Dad Has Some Choice Words About Hotel Bathrooms Caulking
HONOLULURefusing to pull any punches in his appraisal of the shoddy workmanship, vacationing dad David Stayton reportedly had some choice words about his hotel bathrooms caulking, family sources confirmed Tuesday. Jeez Louise, looks like it was somebodys first time taking the caulking gun for a spin, said Stayton as he grimly surveyed the disaster zone in his suites bathroom, adding that a half-assed job like this was all but asking for trouble with black mold and dry rot down the line. You cant honestly look at this caulking and think its gonna be anywhere near effective enough at keeping out moisture. It couldnt stand up to a light sneeze, let alone a hot, steamy shower. Oh cmon, dont tell me these bozos actually applied new caulk without fully removing the old stuff first! Unbelievable. Whatever they got paid for this job, it was too much. My expectations were low as soon as I saw the botch job they did on the tiles, but this caulking makes that grout work look like a goddamn masterpiece in comparison. Okay, you all go ahead down to the beach without me. Ive got to call down to the front desk to see if theyll knock a little off our room rate for this travesty. At press time, Stayton was reportedly looking up the location of the nearest home improvement store so he could show these amateurs how its done. The post Dad Has Some Choice Words About Hotel Bathrooms Caulking appeared first on The Onion.

New Alabama Law Requires Women To Leave Semen On Lower Back For 9 Months
MONTGOMERY, ALFollowing the approval by state legislators of a bill that declares every human sperm has a God-given soul, a new measure signed into law Tuesday requires women in Alabama to leave semen on their lower backs for a full nine months. Today marks a triumph in our fight for the right of men to cum on womens backs and keep it there, said Gov. Kay Ivey, explaining that the law, which also bans the sale of tissue paper that could be used to wipe ejaculate off the lower spine, was essential to protect the sanctity of seminal loads. Life begins at ejaculation on the small of ones back. Who are we to play God? We must let gravity take its course. Semen is a living, squirming thing, and any wipe-down after a completed sexual act amounts to homicide. Ivey added that anyone found to have handed women a towel to mop up the semen would be prosecuted as an accessory to murder. The post New Alabama Law Requires Women To Leave Semen On Lower Back For 9 Months appeared first on The Onion.

China says its evaluating US overtures for trade talks, but tariffs remain an obstacle
Shipping containers are seen ready for transport at the Guangzhou Port in the Nansha district in southern China's Guangdong province on April 17, 2025. (AP Photo/Ng Han Guan, File)2025-05-02T02:55:06Z BEIJING (AP) Chinas Commerce Ministry said Friday that Beijing is evaluating multiple approaches by the Trump administration for trade talks. However, in a ministry statement it said one-sided tariffs of up to 145% remain an obstacle, undermining trust. The statement reiterated Chinas stance that is open to talks, but also that Beijing is determined to fight if it must. The tariff and trade wars were unilaterally initiated by the U.S., if the U.S. side wants to talk, it should show its sincerity, and be ready to take action on issues such as correcting wrong practices and canceling the unilateral imposition of tariffs, it said. The statement cited an unnamed ministry spokesperson as saying that Beijing had taken note of various statements by senior U.S. officials indicating a willingness to negotiate over tariffs. At the same time, the U.S. has recently taken the initiative to convey information to the Chinese side on a number of occasions through relevant parties, hoping to talk with the Chinese side. In this regard, the Chinese side is making an assessment, it said. But it emphasized that China would regard overtures without a change in President Donald Trumps sharp tariff hikes as insincere. Saying one thing but doing another, or even attempting to engage in coercion and blackmail under the guise of talks, will not work on the Chinese side, it said. China is in the midst of a public holiday, with government offices closed.Beijing has responded to Trumps tariff hikes by raising its own duties on imports of U.S. products to as high as 125%. It has also tightened restrictions on exports to the U.S. of certain strategically important minerals and stopped importing a wide range of U.S. farm products. RSShttps://feedx.net https://feedx.site

Israeli military strikes near Syrias presidential palace after warning over sectarian attacks
Syria's security forces are deployed at a highway where they found bodies of Syrian Druze fighters who were in a convoy heading from the southern Sweida province towards the capital, at al-Sor al-Kobra village near the Sweida town, southern Syria, Thursday, May 1, 2025. (AP Photo/Omar Albam)2025-05-02T02:16:10Z DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) Israels air force struck near Syrias presidential palace early Friday hours after warning Syrian authorities not to march toward villages inhabited by members of a minority sect in southern Syria. The strike came after days of clashes between pro-Syrian government gunmen and fighters who belong to the Druze minority sect near the capital, Damascus. The clashes left dozens of people dead or wounded. Fridays strike was Israels second on Syria this week, and attacking an area close to the presidential palace appears to send a strong warning to Syrias new leadership that is mostly made up of Islamist groups led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham. On Thursday, Syrias Druze spiritual leader Sheikh Hikmat Al-Hijri harshly criticized Syrias government for what he called an unjustified genocidal attack on the minority community. The Israeli army said that fighter jets struck adjacent to the area of the Palace of President Hussein al-Sharaa in Damascus. Its statement gave no further details.Israels Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said the strike was a message to Syrian leaders. This is a clear message to the Syrian regime. We will not allow a withdrawal of forces from south of Damascus and any danger to the Druze community, their joint statement said. Pro-government Syrian media outlets said the strike hit close to the Peoples Palace on a hill overlooking the city. The clashes broke out around midnight Monday after an audio clip circulated on social media of a man criticizing Islams Prophet Muhammad. The audio was attributed to a Druze cleric. But cleric Marwan Kiwan said in a video posted on social media that he was not responsible for the audio, which angered many Sunni Muslims.Syrias Information Ministry said 11 members of the countrys security forces were killed in two separate attacks, while Britain-based war monitor The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 56 people in Sahnaya and the Druze-majority Damascus suburb of Jaramana were killed in clashes, among them local gunmen and security forces. The Druze religious sect is a minority group that began as a 10th-century offshoot of Ismailism, a branch of Shiite Islam. More than half of the roughly 1 million Druze worldwide live in Syria, largely in the southern Sweida province and some suburbs of Damascus. Most of the other Druze live in Lebanon and Israel, including in the Golan Heights, which Israel captured from Syria in the 1967 Mideast War and annexed in 1981.

How MAGA's obsession with 'pronatalism' is harmful to the LGBTQ+ community
Family values conservatives have been obsessed with heterosexual marriages and babies for decades. They have fought to curtail womens rights in an effort to keep them pregnant and out of civic life, decimated abortion access, attempted to limit access to birth control, and tried to define marriage and family in the narrowest terms possible. Now, declining birth rates have the MAGA crowd pushing policies designed to increase the number of babies born in the United States every year. While this new desire to increase the population seems in line with the traditional family values Republicans have been espousing for years, there is a more sinister ideology at the heart of this new movement: pronatalism. This used to be a fringe topic, but now pronatalism seems to be a cornerstone of the modern Republican agenda. In March President Donald Trump said hell be known as the fertilization president, Elon Musk father to 14 children recently told Fox News that civilization will disappear if the birthrate doesnt increase, and Vice President JD Vance summed up the problem at the March for Life rally in January when he said, "Let me say very simply: I want more babies in the United States of America."But what is pronatalism, and should you be worried? What is pronatalism? While the exact definition is murky and different factions have slightly different beliefs, pronatalism is a movement that tries to promote increasing pregnancies in an effort to combat the declining birthrate which makes the decision to have children not just a personal one, but as a tool for population growth.Proponents of the ideology range from Silicon Valley elites to the religious right to tradwives, and new right anti-feminist movement followers. Some believe in conceiving children naturally while others are proponents of in-vitro fertilization (IVF), and while they may disagree on womens roles in the family unit, they all agree that more babies is the solution to plummeting birth rates and economic woes. Democrats are also concerned about declining birth rates because it could spell disaster int he future for programs like Social Security and Medicare which rely on younger workers paying into the system to support older people no longer in the workforce. During the presidential campaign, former Vice President Kamala Harris even proposed a $6,000 tax credit for parents of newborns. But pronatalists are largely conservative and dont support abortion access and reproductive freedom, or social safety nets like affordable childcare, paid family leave, universal healthcare, that would make childbearing more accessible. To remain stable, a country must reproduce at replacement rate, which is 2.1 children per women, but currently the United States is averaging 1.6 children per woman. Pronatalists claim this is a catastrophic failure that needs to be corrected, reducing women to their reproductive potential. Why is it important for the LGBTQ+ community to be aware of pronatalism?Pronatalism may seem like straight peoples business, but the LGBTQ+ community will likely be affected too. In an article for The Nation, journalist Elizabeth Gregory wrote that the conservative protnatalists anti-gay and anti-transgender policies aim to push the growing group of young people who identify as LGBTQ back into the closet, and into heterosexual relationships and more pregnancies, planned and unplanned. Many pronatalists also believe in traditional gender roles and rolling back access to abortions, contraction, and hormone therapy, all of which have real-world consequences for queer people. Far-right Republicans have been attacking trans rights and passing sweeping anti-trans bills for years now, but some have started using pronatalist talking points to strip the LGBTQ+ community of their rights. In 2022, a conservative Idaho representative condemned gender-affirming healthcare for transgender youth because accessing care may lead to children being sterilized and unable to have children of their own in the future. We are not talking about the life of the child, but we are talking about the potential to give life to another generation, Rep. Julianne Young said, the Idaho Press reported. In a similar vein, earlier this year, conservative Michigan lawmaker Josh Schriver tried to pass a resolution to condemn same-sex marriage with the argument that, This is a biological necessity to preserve and grow our human race, Bridge Michigan reported.Elon Musk and JD Vance are big fansPronatalism has become a unifying ideology bringing together modern tech moguls like Musk with religious conservatives like Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and Vice President Vance. The Tesla billionaire and father to 14 children born to four different mothers, has been an outspoken pronatalist for years, often sounding the alarm bell that decreasing populations sizes could destroy the world. He has repeatedly taken to X (formerly Twitter) to say that population collapse due to low birth rates is a much bigger risk to civilization than global warming, that instead of teaching fear of pregnancy, we should teach fear of childlessness, and that "Low birth rates will end civilization.Vance, an anti-abortion Catholic who called Democratic leaders childless cat ladies, has proposed a $5000 child tax credit and been vocal about his pronatalist views that Americans need to be having more babies, and that the Democratic Party is anti-family and anti-child. Prominent pronatalist advocates Malcolm and Simone Collins, who have four children with a fifth on the way, proposed that Trump should give out a National Medal of Motherhood to encourage women to have more babies because they agree with Musk and see the declining birth rates as a extinction level event."Pronatalism has sort of become the global warming of the right. It's a broad statistical issue that is going to lead to the collapse of our civilization," Malcolm told USA Today. "And, for whatever reason, the other side is unable to acknowledge it."Modern day eugenicsThe second ever pronatalist Natal Conference was held in Austin, Texas earlier this year and featured pro-eugenics speakers and promoters of racist pseudoscience. Many on the religious right may agree that pumping out more babies will solve society's problems, but the Silicon Valley elites are more open to things like IQ screenings for IVF embryos, The Guardian reports. After Texas banned nearly all abortions after six weeks of pregnancy, the fertility rate increased for the first time since 2024, with an 8% increase among Hispanic women since 2021, but pronatalists, who are overwhelmingly conservative, only want a certain kind of person to have more babies. Its about having more babies, but its important to ask whose babies, Patrik Hermansson, a researcher at Hope Not Hate, told The Guardian. Its about promoting the idea that certain people should have babies that have been improved with positive eugenics.Much like the racial hygiene programs of the Nazi party, and the forced sterilization of the disabled and mentally ill in the United States, the more extreme proponents of pronatalism believe in breeding a better human race.At Natal Con, one speaker linked pronatalism to the great replacement theory, which is a white nationalist conspiracy theory that there is a plot to erase white people through immigration and white people having fewer babies than other races think white nationalists chanting Jews will not replace us at the deadly Charlottesville rally in 2017. Some adherents to the pronatalism ideology believe it is a solution to the great replacement theory."So by a very superficial gloss, [today's pronatalist movements] could appear to be, let's say, almost a libertarian approach to babymaking," Alexandra Stern, a UCLA professor and author of books on the American history of eugenics, told NPR. "But if you look at the underlying, driving ideologies, la Charles Murray and others who have written about who should be having babies and who should not be having babies, it often comes down to ideologies of genetic determinism and who is more fit or less fit.Using IVF and screening embryos for IQ, risk of depression, and other markers is part of what Collins calls this polygenics. Although the anti-abortion far-right Republicans disagree with this type of intervention, Trump seems to be siding with Musk and the rest of the tech pronatalists when he signed a pro-IVF executive order. The LGBTQ+ community is being attacked left and right by the White House and conservatives across the country, and the way pronatalists push gender ideology, control of womens bodies, deciding who is worthy of having children, and policies that could force queer people back into the closet, is a risk to LGBTQ+ people everywhere.

Watch lesbian drama 'Hot Milk's steamy & haunting trailer now
Set against the sweltering backdrop of coastal Spain, Hot Milk is shaping up to be one of the most emotionally-charged and visually rich queer dramas of the summer.Based on Deborah Levys acclaimed 2016 novel, the film stars Sex Education's Emma Mackey as Sofia, a young woman caught between her ailing mother (Fiona Shaw) and surrendering to the intoxicating pull of Ingrid (Vicky Krieps), a seductive traveler she meets along the way.Written and directed by Rebecca Lenkiewicz (Disobedience) and shot like a hazy dream by cinematographer Christopher Blauvelt, the movie promises a slow-burn of identity, repression, desire, and unraveling family tiesall wrapped in a heat-soaked psychological drama. It premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in February but hits theaters later this year. Ahead of its release, IndieWire released an exclusive trailerand if first impressions mean anything, this is one lesbian coming-of-age film we cannot miss.Keep reading for our full breakdown of the trailer, and why we think Hot Milk is about to become your next queer cinema obsession.1. Emma Mackey is about to crush itThis is not the Barbie version of Mackey, nor is it the same as her Maeve Wiley character in Sex Education. The character of Sofia comes across as a lot darker and more twisted, so much so that the trailer even shows her on-screen lover referring to her as a monster. Either way, we cannot wait to see what she does with this role.2. The sex/sexual tension will be off the chartsWhoever cast Mackey and Krieps as the onscreen couple deserves a raise. Even though we havent seen how this will all play out yet, it looks like these two might go down as one of our favorite onscreen lesbian couples.3. Its totally going to mess with our mindsThe movie is categorized as a coming-of-age psychological drama on IMDb, and the trailer depicts that without needing to be told. It looks to us like itll be a slow burn well worth the wait.4. Its already deserving of some awardsSometimes, trailers give away too much, but this trailer gave away just the right amount to get us intrigued. Everything from the story to the acting to the color grading looks award-worthy, and we cant wait to see how many it acquires after its released.5. The supporting cast looks amazingListen, weve had a lot of Harry Potter alumni appearing in some high-profile films and TV recentlywere looking at you, Jason Isaacs in The White Lotusand Hot Milk is no exception. Fiona Shaw, who played Aunt Petunia in Potter, takes on the role of Sofias mother, Rose. From what weve seen in the trailer, shes about to deliver, honey.Hot Milk debuts in theaters on Friday, June 27, from IFC Films. Check out the trailer below.

20 hilarious reactions roasting Lindsey Graham for suggesting Trump should be pope
As Cardinals convene at the Vatican to pick a new pope, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham has floated a candidate that has the internet mocking him: President Donald Trump. This week, Trump spoke with reporters outside the White House and joked that he should be the next person to wear the papal hat. Id like to be pope, he said. That would be my number one choice. While most of social media roasted him for his comments, it sparked adoration from his MAGA base, including on-and-off Trump supporter Graham, who called the president a dark horse candidate. (@) I was excited to hear that President Trump is open to the idea of being the next Pope, Graham captioned his post on X on Tuesday that included the clip of Trump. This would truly be a dark horse candidate, but I would ask the papal conclave and Catholic faithful to keep an open mind about this possibility!Graham added, The first Pope-U.S. President combination has many upsides. Watching for white smoke. Trump MMXXVIII! (@) The pope has to be a baptized Catholic man, and all modern popes have been chosen from the College of Cardinals, which means that, despite Grahams desire to see Trump sitting in the Papal chair, the president wouldnt qualify since he has called himself a non-denominational Christian, The Independent reports. While Graham clearly thinks Trump would make a great leader of the Catholic Church, other politicians think its an outrageous assertion. Republican Meghan McCain told Graham to get a grip on X (formerly Twitter), and Democratic National Committee vice chair Malcolm Kenyatta called out Graham for being a bootlicker. Can we send a rescue party? Ive never seen a person so far up someones ass, he posted. (@) (@) But it was everyday Americans on social media who made the most hilarious jokes at Trumps expense. Someone joking that Graham was attempting to score a spot as an altar boy and another person quipping "what does this man have on you? will have you cackling. Keep scrolling to see the funniest reactions to Graham sucking up to Trump! (@) "BREAKING: Lindsey Graham open to idea of Trump becoming Pope, also open to idea of Lindsey Graham becoming altar boy" (@) "See it was kinda funny when Trump said "I should be the next Pope" but Lindsey Graham slobbering all over Trump's knob ruined the joke completely..." (@) "He's not even Catholic!" (@) "Lindsey Graham, then and now. Exhibit A in what Trump did to the Republican Party." (@) "I think its time for another flood" (@) "Is it possible to bankrupt a church!?" (@) "Today, Trump said his number one choice is to be the next Pope. This is the guy who couldnt name a single Bible verse." (@) "JD Vance receives his medal for a successful mission at the Vatican. Trump will apply to be the new Pope tomorrow." (@) "Trump at the Popes funeral: 'A lot of people are saying I would've been a better pope - frankly, the best.' (@) "@LindseyGrahamSC is excited to hear that Trump is open to the idea of being the next Pope. Does Graham have a brainworm? Seriously WTAF" (@) "This is not, I repeat not, how I massage Trump's prostate. This is." (@) "Its gonna be orange smoke and its gonna come from the outhouse." (@) "Lindsey Graham has said some weird shit and kissed Trump's arse repeatedly throughout this nightmare decade, but this Pope tweet WTAF?!? Lindsey done lost what was left of his damn mind!!!" (@) "BREAKING: The Vatican now taking applications via Truth Social. Pope MAGA the First is expected to pass a new commandment: Thou shalt grovel and tithe $500K for Mar-a-Lago miracles. Lindsey Graham seen auditioning for Holy Waterboy. God help us all." (@) "Seriously, Linds, what does this man have on you? First you hated him & the thought of him being the president made you sick. Now you are pimping out his Pope fantasy?!" (@) "Lindsey Graham thinks Donald Trump would make a good pope." (@) "Yes, this a real post on Lindsey Graham's timeline. Remember when people freaked at the thought of JFK becoming president because he was Catholic and they thought he'd beholden to the pope? Now these idiots actually want Trump to be pope. Unbelievable." (@) "I'm going to go out on a limb and predict that Catholic cardinals are not going to elect a twice-divorced, non-Catholic as Pope. In related news, Lindsey Graham is not a serious person."

Sleep Experts Suggest Cutting Back On Gods Light Before Bed
ITHACA, NYIn an effort to help Americans get a better nights rest, sleep experts from Cornell University issued a recommendation Wednesday to cut back on Gods light before bed. The Lords divine grace can put the body into a state of religious excitement, so we typically suggest avoiding His holy light for two hours before your regular bedtime, said sleep researcher Edna Hardy, who added that the disruption of circadian rhythms caused by basking in the abundant glory of the Lord while in bed could lead to depression and cardiovascular problems down the line. Personally, I never pray after 8 p.m. The brilliant light of God shining down upon you can confuse your body into thinking its time to make a pilgrimage in service of the Almighty when it should be winding down for rest. Ideally, you should keep any Bibles or crucifixes out of your bedroom entirely so your mind only associates that space with sleep and sex and not the everlasting salvation of eternal life through Christ. Hardy added that people struggling to avoid Gods light close to bedtime could purchase special glasses designed to block it by selling their soul to the devil. The post Sleep Experts Suggest Cutting Back On Gods Light Before Bed appeared first on The Onion.
