Ads Manager Pro — User Guide

This guide explains how to create, manage, and optimize ads using the Ads Manager Pro system.

Quick Start

  1. Open Ads Manager from the main menu.
  2. Create a Campaign to define budget and objectives.
  3. Create an Ad Set to define targeting, schedule, and bidding.
  4. Create an Ad and choose a creative.
  5. Review your ad and submit for approval.

Core Concepts

  • Ad Account — Billing, attribution windows, and UTM settings.
  • Campaign — Top‑level budget and objective.
  • Ad Set — Targeting, schedule, placements, bidding, and frequency caps.
  • Ad — The creative and delivery unit.
  • Creative — The image/video, title, description, CTA, and destination.

Creating a Campaign

  1. Go to Ads Manager → Campaigns.
  2. Click Create Campaign.
  3. Enter a name, objective, and budget type (daily or total).
  4. Set dates if you want a fixed schedule.
  5. Save.

Creating an Ad Set

  1. Open your campaign and click Create Ad Set.
  2. Define budget, schedule, and bidding strategy.
  3. Choose Optimization Goal and Billing Event.
  4. Set Targeting rules and Placements.
  5. Set Frequency Cap if needed.
  6. Choose a Primary Conversion Event if you use conversion tracking.
  7. Save.

Creating an Ad

  1. Open your ad set and click Create Ad.
  2. Select or create a Creative.
  3. Set name, status, and any tracking parameters.
  4. Preview placements and submit.

Creative Best Practices

  • Keep the headline concise and benefit‑driven.
  • Use high‑contrast images and clear focal points.
  • Match landing page and ad message for better conversions.
  • Avoid text‑heavy images on small placements.

Conversion Tracking

Conversion tracking measures actions like purchases, signups, or clicks.

  1. Go to Ads Manager → Pixels & Events.
  2. Create a Conversion Event.
  3. Add the event trigger to your site.
  4. Select the event as the Primary Conversion in your Ad Set.

Attribution & Windows

  • Attribution Model controls how conversions are credited.
  • Click Window and View Window define how long after an ad interaction a conversion is credited.

UTM Tracking

UTM parameters can be appended automatically to all ad links.

  1. Go to Ads Manager → Settings.
  2. Enable UTM tracking.
  3. Set a global UTM template, for example:
utm_source=ads&utm_medium={{placement}}&utm_campaign={{campaign_id}}&utm_adset={{adset_id}}&utm_ad={{ad_id}}

Audiences

Create and reuse audiences for precise targeting.

  1. Go to Ads Manager → Audiences.
  2. Create a new audience with rules.
  3. Apply the audience in your Ad Set targeting.

Experiments (A/B Testing)

  1. Go to Ads Manager → Experiments.
  2. Create variants for ads or ad sets.
  3. Run the experiment and compare results.

Automation Rules

Rules allow you to automatically adjust ads based on performance.

  1. Go to Ads Manager → Rules.
  2. Create a rule with conditions and actions.
  3. Enable it for continuous optimization.

Fraud & Safety

Fraud detection logs suspicious activity.

  1. Go to Ads Manager → Fraud.
  2. Review flagged clicks and impressions.

Reports & Analytics

Reports include daily, weekly, monthly, and custom ranges.

  • DAU/WAU/MAU metrics are shown in reports.
  • Active Users, Cap Hits, and Cap Hit Rate are included.
  • Use Export for CSV/JSON downloads.

Scheduled Reports

  1. Go to Reports and click Schedule Report.
  2. Select frequency and recipients.
  3. Reports are emailed on schedule via cron.

Billing & Payments

  • Supports wallet funding plus external payments (Stripe, PayPal).
  • Monitor spending in your Ad Account.

Status & Approval Flow

  • Active ads are eligible to run.
  • Paused ads do not deliver.
  • Pending ads are awaiting approval.

Troubleshooting

  • If ads are not delivering, check budget, schedule, and approval status.
  • If reporting is empty, verify conversion events and attribution windows.
  • If login issues occur, clear cache and confirm the latest core.js is deployed.

  • CTR — Click‑through rate.
  • CPM — Cost per 1,000 impressions.
  • CPC — Cost per click.
  • CPA — Cost per acquisition.
  • ROAS — Return on ad spend.
