Nicholas Bear Bade and Master Sgt. Logan Ireland. Both are litigants in Ireland v. Hegseth and Talbott v. Trump, cases currently underway in court. California lieutenant governor candidate Janelle Kellmanhas received the endorsement and support of LPAC, a political PAC that supports LGBTQ+ women running for office around the country. In Chicago, lawmakers and LGBTQ+ and HIV health advocates are pushing back against the proposed eliminationofthe CentersforDisease Control and Preventions (CDC) DivisionofHIVPrevention.Several proposed bills in the Texas Legislature focus on the LGBTQ+ community, including a bill on gender identity fraud and a bill that would allow health care workers to refuse treatment of patients if it conflicted with belief about whether certain health care services are morally acceptable.New legislation proposed in Ohio would bar public school teachers from using any name or gender pronouns for a student other than what is listed on their birth certificate.
