We all love a good take down of Republicans, but sometimes Democrats need a kick in the butt too and thats where podcast host Jennifer Welch comes in.On a recent episode of Welchs Ive Had It Podcast, she took down Democrat Rahm Emanuel after he tried to diagnose what went wrong for Democrats in the November elections by pinning it on trans people.Emanuel has been a fixture in Democratic politics for years. First, as the chief of staff for former President Barack Obama before becoming the mayor of Chicago and then most recently, the ambassador to Japan under former President Joe Biden. We were really south on kitchen table issues. We werent really good about the family room issues, Emanuel said.I disagree with you, Welch chimed in. I disagree with you 100%.Despite Emanuels history within the Democratic Party, he quickly threw trans Americans under the bus. The only room we were doing really well was the bathroom, and thats the smallest room in the house, he said in reference to trans bathroom bans and other anti-trans policy issues. MAGA is the most genital-obsessed political party I have ever seen.Not to be deterred by Emanuel trying to get a word in, Welch succinctly explained that former Vice President Kamala Harris did focus on so-called kitchen table issues and that Democrats are losing because they are unwilling to throw out the rulebook like MAGA is doing. Kamala Harris talked about homeownership. She talked about kitchen table issues. Trumps over there, droning on about Hannibal Lecter. Are you kidding me? This is where the Democrats lose because were playing the game with the rulebook, she explained.Theyve ripped the rulebook up and are crammed it down everybodys throat. And Democrats are upset because Joe Biden pardoned his son. We gotta fucking fight, Welch said. Theyre the gender-obsessed weirdos, not us. Were the ones who fight for Social Security. We fight for Medicare, and yeah, were not gonna bully trans people. Were not gonna fucking do it. And so Im gonna fight till the bitter end and Im not gonna let some MAGA moron define what progressive values are. And I think its a really dangerous precedent, Mr. Emanuel.
