Anti-LGBTQ+ hate pastor Joel Webbon has a message for Christians: Use more slurs when talking about gay men.Webbon, who founded Right Response Ministries and is the senior pastor of the Covenant Bible Church in Austin, Texas, has a history of extreme statements, including a claim that 17% of gay men eat feces, that women shouldnt have the right to vote, and that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr is in hell. Its bad for society. Its been incredibly harmful.Weve seen a full court press against our own children as the sacrificial lamb in order to appease older gay men and make them feel better about themselves. Its wicked. Its predatory, he continued, drawing on the old, false negative stereotype that LGBTQ+ people are a threat to children. And I think it is appropriate for us to be able to call it what it is and say, Wait a second, this is perverse, its wicked, its fa***try, and it needs to stop.'Yes, you can use that word on occasion, as I just did, to say, No, were not going to tolerate fa***try with our children. Cut it out. Stop it. Say Christ is Lord. Stop it.' He specified that he didnt want people to use that word so much that it gets trivialized, but I dont think that its a sin to say fa***t in its proper context. I think you can be a Christian who fears the Lord and say, Enough is enough.' Webbon then brought up a social media video from four years ago from the San Francisco Gay Mens Chorus where they joked that they are going to convert your children to being tolerant and fair towards people who are different from them, something that conservatives at the time falsely said was a form of pedophilia.Youve got the San Francisco Gay Choir a couple years ago writing songsand it was not a jokeWell convert your children,' Webbon said. No, stop it, fa***ts. No, you will not convert my children. Youre degenerates, youre predators, and youre evil. In the name of Jesus Christ, stop it. Back into the shadows.Webbon went on to say that he believes that society only has room for LGBTQ+ people or Christians; the idea that Christians can live in peace with people who are different from them is apparently unimaginable.Every society will have a closet and there will either be Christian children hiding in that closet with their parents, ostracized from society, or you will have sexual degenerates in that closet, he said. And so yes, call me a radical [but] I think the sexual degenerates are the ones, the members of society, that should be in the closet, not Christian families and their children.
