Sam Asghari Strips Down for Playgirl More Than Ever Before And Gets Real Candid
Sam Asghari is showing the world there is far more to him than tabloid headlines and headline-making abs. Britney Spears ex-husband is the latest star to pose for Playgirl, delivering a sultry, skin-forward spread that nods to the magazines legacy. The 31-year-old actor, fitness model and The Traitors alum appears on Playgirls December 2025 cover in a series of provocative images shot by photographer Katie Levine. The photos find Asghari slipping out of leather pants, lounging in a bathtub and posing nude with only a strategically placed towel standing between him and full frontal territory. Sam Asghari is careful when the subject of his ex-wife, Britney Spears, comes up. He references an old Iranian proverb about loyalty and shared meals, explaining that respect does not expire just because a relationship ends. Whatever follows is irrelevant, he says simply, his tone steady and warm. Asghari avoids revisiting the media frenzy that followed their 2023 split, instead focusing on gratitude and perspective. The best thing you can do is celebrate the past, appreciate the past, and not dwell on the fact that its over, he says. Be happy it ever even happened. That outlook is shaped by Asgharis upbringing and immigrant experience. Born in Iran, he moved to the United States at age 12, arriving without speaking English but full of belief in the promise of opportunity. He describes immigrants as some of the most patriotic people he knows, precisely because they understand what it means to live without freedom. Determined to assimilate, he shortened his name, played American sports and pursued acting with urgency, driven by the knowledge that many friends back home never had the same chances. I knew what it was like not to live here, he says. Thats why I never wanted to waste an opportunity.Asgharis relationship with Spears gave him what he calls a crash course into fame, exposing both its privilege and its cruelty. Watching her battle the conservatorship that controlled her life for more than a decade was a turning point, one that revealed how easily power can be abused. The experience, he says, reshaped his values. Fame and money, he learned, are fleeting; integrity is not. Today, he is focused on acting, particularly roles with substance and social relevance, including projects centered on exiled artists and freedom of expression. At the end of the day, I do have a future, Asghari says. I was acting before that relationship, and I will continue acting. While the spread stops short of revealing everything, it is undeniably one of Asgharis boldest visual statements to date. For longtime fans of Playgirl, the shoot feels like a modern update of a classic tradition, equal parts camp, confidence and thirst appeal.Scroll through the photos below.Sam Asghari for Playgirl.
