Pro runner Chris Robinson's accidentally showed pole on main and we're all winners
Men in short shorts are a big part of why we love the summer, but for athletes, this sometimes leads to a fortunate peek-a-boo moment. Think a nip slip, but a little lower. Thats exactly what happened to US pro sprinter Chris Robinson, whose wardrobe malfunction almost cost him his race. After French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati went viral when his largepolekept him from Olympic gold, it seemed unlikely that another athletes sizable asset would play a role in winning or losing. But when Robinsons large appendage made an appearance at the Ostrava Golden Spike meet in Czechia on Tuesday, he nearly lost his chance at first place too, because he had to keep trying to readjust his manhood while continuing to run and jump over hurdles. See the video footage here, don't worry, we'll wait. (@) When Robinson noticed that his private parts were fully exposed to spectators, he kept trying to pull down his tiny running shorts to cover up, while still running at top speed, the New York Post reports. The unfortunate (or fortunate, depending on how you look at it) incident allowed Brazils Matheus Lima to close the distance between them, and he was nearly able to catch up to the American athlete. Eventually, Robinson gave up on trying to hide his escapee and decided to focus on beating his competitors. He crossed the finish line in 48.05 seconds, winning the race.Robinson, fittingly nicknamed The Anomaly, may have been distracted by what was happening to his lower extremity, but he managed to beat Lima by .06 seconds and was only one-tenth of a second slower than his personal best. After crossing the finish line, Robinson somersaulted onto the track before smiling and shaking his head while lying on the track, likely as surprised by the turn of events as the audience cheering him on.
