Ex-husbands Lukas Gage and Chris Appleton are sharing more details about their marriage whether intentionally or unintentionally. Outside of his gym in Los Angeles yesterday, TMZ stopped Gage to ask him about his ex-husband's newly announced memoir coming out in January 2026, which is set to be released three months after Gage's book. (@) A photographer at TMZ chatted with Gage as he was walking out and asked him about Appleton's book coming out so soon after his, to which Gage replied that he's "honored to be influential in someone else's release date of their book." When he was asked if he felt Appleton did it intentionally, the actor responded and said he wasn't sure.Gage didn't engage much when it came to follow-up questions, but when asked where they stood and if he knew about the almost similar release dates, he responded, "It was a surprise."This interaction with the media comes not too soon after Appleton appeared on Jay Shetty's podcast and opened up about being in his first romantic relationship with a man, nonetheless, a celebrity. During the conversation, the celebrity hairstylist, whose client list includes Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, and Dua Lipa, opened up about the "private pain" he was experiencing during his marriage. As a father of two kids in their early 20s, he said his biggest priority was his kids. "I don't mind people saying good and bad things," Appleton said during the interview. "But, for me, as a dad, I wanted to protect my kidsI'm very aware that any relationship I go into, there will be a conversation around that."He also revealed that he was the one who filed for divorce from Gage. "It's a bit like going to buy a house: I like bright and lots of space; I don't like confined and dark. Some people do. And that's OK," the hairstylist said. "We're just not aligned."
