Crazed Trumper protested a lesbian Butch garden event. Then he started attacking women.
In his second recent attack on local, a 34-year-old man carrying a Trump/Vance sign pepper-sprayed two lesbians leaving a popular monthly party in Baltimores Waverly neighborhood. Shortly following the incident, police arrested suspect Matthew Middleton near the scene and charged him with assault and weapons possession.Two people walked out down Vineyard Lane just over here. Subscribe to our Newsletter today As dozens of attendees filed out of the party at the brewery, several women heckled Middleton, and two confronted him, according to witness accounts in police documents.One attendee said she saw a couple of people kind of antagonizing him, but not really, before Middleton allegedly pepper-sprayed them.One victim ran back into the brewery, distraught, and flushed her eyes with tap water in the bathroom, a partygoer who identified herself as Jocelyn recounted.The scene was disconcerting, she said. In a social media post, she urged people to stay away from Middleton, who is well-known for stalking the neighborhood with his pro-Trump sign.This is a free country, and he can hold his sign wherever, City Councilwoman Odette Ramos, who represents the neighborhood, said in a statement. But he cant expect that someone wont say something to him.Ramos added that her constituents have a right to share their views, and thats what they did.In Middletons backpack, police found a pocketknife, pepper spray, and a launcher similar to a BB gun.He was arrested on three charges, including carrying and using mace with the intent to injure and for concealing a dangerous weapon. Hes being held without bond before his scheduled court appearance in September. Middleton is also facing similar charges for an incident on July 6 outside Red Emmas, a Waverly bookstore co-op and cafe.According to charging documents in that case, a passerby approached Middleton, who was holding his Trump/Vance sign. The passerby spoke with him for a few moments before snatching the placard and throwing it to the ground.Middleton responded violently, taking the man to the ground using a chokehold and striking him several times using a baton.
