Brolesque is reclaiming its stage in Manhattan with Fortunes of Love, a weekly strip revue that blends humor, mysticism, and plenty of skin. The production takes over Balcon Salon every Thursday at 10 p.m., serving up cocktails and queer spectacle without a cover charge.The show, created by choreographer Lockhart Brownlie, is more than a night of dancing, its a tongue-in-cheek exploration of romance through tarot readings and theatrical striptease. Each performance guides audiences through a playful journey in pursuit of Mr. Right (or at least Mr. Right Now.)From California to Fire IslandSince its debut in Orange County, Brolesque has built a reputation for touring nightlife hotspots. After runs in West Hollywood and New York, the production has landed in destinations like Wilton Manors, Puerto Vallarta, Las Vegas, and Fire Islands Ice Palace.The New York residency marks a homecoming for Brownlie, who also directs and choreographs the show. The current cast includes Christopher Patterson-Rosso, Felipe Ocampo, Gabriel Reyes, and Jason Carroll.Brolesque has always been about celebrating queer desire and connection without apology, Brownlie said.
