Subscribe to our Newsletter today The current presidential administration maintains that trans-inclusive schools are in violation of Title IX after reversing President Joe Bidens interpretation of the statute, which found its discrimination on the basis of sex as including anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination.An executive order from the president threatened to block federal funding for schools that allow transgender girls and women to compete on girls and womens sports teams and also directed the Department of Justice to prosecute schools that allow trans women athletes in female sports programs. Many educational institutions and athletic associations have allowed men to compete in womens sports,the order states, misgendering trans female athletes.This is demeaning, unfair, and dangerous to women and girls, and denies women and girls the equal opportunity to participate and excel in competitive sports.The administration is currently suing California over the states refusal to comply. The state of California has had a law allowing trans kids to participate in school sports as their gender since 2013 and has refused to violate it.Similarly, five Virginia school districts are refusing to revoke their trans-inclusive policies, despite the administrations decision to freeze the districts congressionally approved federal education funding over the matter. Nevertheless, 29 states have laws or policies banning trans students from participating in sports consistent with their gender identities.Additionally, many organizations and universities are giving in to threats from the federal government and revoking their trans-inclusive policies.The Safety and Opportunity for Girls Act was introduced by anti-LGBTQ+ Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL), who has said American families are under relentless attack from a radical leftist agenda that seeks to erase truth, redefine marriage, and confuse our children.This June, Miller called Pride Month evil and ungodly. The left hijacked it to promote gender confusion, to promote indecency, hyper-sexualizing our children, and actually grooming our children.
