TikToker Grant Gibbs has apologized for posting a viral video that inadvertently outed Crumbl Cookies co-founder and Chief Branding Officer Sawyer Hemsley. The 33-year-old Mormon entrepreneur publicly came out on Tuesday following Gibbs video.In Gibbs original video, posted on August 22, he said of Hemsely, That man is so gay. That man is gay to the gods. There is a genetic component to sexuality, mama, and lets just say, he has the gene, and theres no denying evolution, babe Thats a gay man, and Ill say it to his face. Instead of letting others write my story, I want to share it in my own words. The truth is, over the past few years Ive come to understand and accept that Im gay.For most of my life, I didnt have the clarity to answer the questions or respond to the rumors, he added. Coming to terms with it has been overwhelming and, at times, scary but it has also brought me peace, joy, and authenticity that I wouldnt trade for anything. What I feel a little problematic about is that I think hes closeted in a way, to, like, protect his money As a gay man myself, I want to see a successful gay CEO, like, slay the boots house down.
