'Baby Reindeer's Richard Gadd to star in a new limited series about a decades-spanning friendship

Baby Reindeer creator Richard Gadd has another project in the works, and this time, hell be joined by All of Us Strangers star Jamie Bell.The new six-episode series Half Man, which is being co-produced by HBO and the BBC, was created by Gadd, who will also star alongside Bell, much like he did in Netflixs breakout hit Baby Reindeer.Half Man will follow a complicated friendship between two men that spans multiple decades.The shows official synopsis reads, When Nialls (Bell) estranged brother Ruben (Gadd) shows up at his wedding, it leads to an explosion of violence that catapults us back through their lives. Spanning almost 40 years from the 1980s to the present day, this ambitious series will cover the highs and lows of the brothers relationship, from them meeting as teenagers to their falling out as adults with all the good, bad, terrible, funny, angry, and challenging moments along the way. It will capture the wild energy of a changing city a changing world, even and try to get to the bottom of the difficult question: What does it mean to be a man?Half Man will be directed by Alexandra Brodski (Somewhere Boy, Rivals) and is set to start filming in Scotland later this year, Variety reports.This is Gadds first series since Baby Reindeer, which ended up being a smash hit for Netflix even taking home four Emmy awards but was also mired in controversy.
