Add Cricket News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.KEY TAKEAWAYS:Jason Holder bowled a wobble-seam delivery to dismiss Virat Kohli for 43.His wild celebration has already caught the attention of fans.Holder has now dismissed Kohli four times in T20 cricket across ten innings.RCB vs GT in IPL 2026: Jason Holder gets Virat Kohli, again!Jason Holder did not hold back after castling Virat Kohli in Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala.Kohli looked in good touch as he came out all guns blazing, before he was bowled for 43 runs. Holder delivered a short-of-a-length ball angled wide outside off stump. Kohli went for the pull, looking to work it through the leg side, but the ball took a bottom edge and crashed back onto his own stumps.MORE: Advantage GT in IPL 2026 Qualifier 1? It was a wobble-seam delivery, a subtle variation that did just enough to deceive the batter. Kohli was frustrated with his dismissal, and the celebration that followed from Holder only added fuel to the fire. Jason Holder's reaction says it all 😮He gets the HUGE WICKETS of Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal in the same over ☝️🔝Updates ▶️ https://t.co/9rs6u5obOw#TATAIPL | #Qualifier1 | #TheFinalLeap | #RCBvGTpic.twitter.com/z8ZEwrCIGJ— IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) May 26, 2026What made the passage of play even more damaging for RCB was Padikkal edging it to Joss Buttler behind the stumps. Two wickets in the space of a single over put the pressure back on the Red and Black brigade. MORE: Qualifier 1 in IPL playoffs explained: Format and complete history of resultsWhat is Virat Kohli's record against Jason Holder in T20 cricket? This is not the first time Holder has had the better of Kohli in this format. Across ten T20 innings between the two, Holder has dismissed the RCB batter four times. Kohli has scored 98 runs off 53 balls against him at a strike rate of 184.90, but his average against Holder sits at just 24.50.MORE: RCB vs GT Dream11: Lineups, pitch report and score predictionsOne must note that Kohli was dismissed by a similar delivery earlier in this edition of IPL by Holder. And the celebration that followed from the Caribbean, grabbed headlines on that occasion as well. That aggressive celebration by Jason Holder after taking Virat Kohli’s wicket! 💥🤯Virat Kohli doesn’t look happy at all. Is it all over for Holder in the next game? 👀☠️pic.twitter.com/6t7N5mjylY— AK 45 (@ImRo45_Club) April 24, 2026The Cricket News Opinion: An online backlash awaits Holder?Holder's reaction after the wicket was electric, but now he must be wary of Kohli's million online fans. One user on X posted that the celebration would bring the "celebration police" to Holder's Instagram. It is a pointed nod to the ugly episode involving Travis Head, whose family was harassed online by sections of Kohli's fanbase after the duo exchanged some words on the pitch. Subsequently, Kohli chose not to shake hands with the Australian after the match. @poserarcher wrote: "Holder to gayo.. He over celebrated .. Celebration police on its way to his Instagram."Holder played a brilliant delivery and earned every bit of that celebration. Now, we can only hope that the fans spare him the online horror. SPORTS.YAHOO.COMSeries recap: Salt Lake secures second straight series taking five of sixTrey Mancini high fives teammates after grand slam. | Salt Lake Bees Photography There is truly no place like home. Salt Lake finishes 9-3 in their longest homestand of the year, taking their second straight series of the 12-game span, winning five of six over the Tacoma Rainiers (Triple-A, Seattle Mariners). The Bees (25-25) won the final four games of the six-game set, pushing their record back to an even .500 for the first time since April 17, 2025.Series recapTuesdays have been kind to Salt Lake this year, as they took the series opener for a fourth straight series, 7-5 behind three RBIs from Donovan Walton. Shaun Anderson collected his first win with the Bees in game one with five strong innings of work. Tacoma won game two on Wednesday 13-1, as starter Casey Lawrence took a perfect game into the sixth inning. From that point on, the Bees were unstoppable. The hosts rode quality starts from Brett Kerry and Sam Aldegheri to capture victory in games three and four, respectively. Kerry tossed six innings in Thursday’s 8-3 win, while the Italian tallied six innings of three run ball in a 9-3 decision on Friday. Aldegheri got plenty of run support courtesy of Denzer Guzman, the 22-year old notched his second professional multihomer game, launching two longballs on Friday. His first homer hit the inflatable Swig cup in right center field for the first time in 2026, unlocking free Swig for all those in attendance. Austin Wynns walks it for Salt Lake. | Salt Lake Bees Photography Then on Saturday, in front of a season-high 7,720 fans (the fourth best in ballpark history), the Bees collected their fifth walk-off of the season, winning 6-5 in 10 innings. The walk-off on Star Wars Night, provided by new acquisition Austin Wynns, secured the series victory and completed a late-inning comeback fueled by the large crowd. The long 12-game homestand concluded on Sunday, as Salt Lake outslugged Tacoma 12-8 in a three hour, 24-minute matinee that had a little bit of everything. Three lead changes, two ties, 27 combined hits, four total homers and a multihit game from five of the nine Bees starters. The conclusion brought the team to .500 at 25-25 in 2026 and marked a fourth straight win. Salt Lake sits in fifth place in the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and 4.5 games back of league leader Sacramento, with 24 games to go in the first half.Prospect watchThe Los Angeles Angels’ top-ranked position player and No. 2 prospect overall, Nelson Rada, continued to struggle at the plate during Salt Lake’s series against Tacoma. The 20-year-old hit just .200 (4-for-20) with two doubles and two runs scored across five games. He struck out three times and failed to record a stolen base, an area that has been one of his best tools this season. Defensively, though, Rada remained sharp in center field. He played error-free baseball throughout the series and has not committed an error since May 6 in Oklahoma City. His range and ability to track down fly balls continue to separate him from other outfielders, flashing the defensive tools that have made him one of the Angels’ most highly regarded prospects. The Los Angeles Angels’ fourth overall prospect and third-ranked pitching prospect, George Klassen, continued to search for answers during Wednesday’s Dirty Sodas Night start against Tacoma. The right-hander lasted just 1.2 innings, allowing five runs on four hits while walking three and striking out four. Klassen has now surrendered 20 earned runs across six starts since being reassigned from Los Angeles and has not looked like the dominant arm Salt Lake saw earlier this season. Despite the recent struggles, the electric stuff is still there, and the Bees will hope the 23-year-old can bounce back in his next outing. Salt Lake Bees high five line after 7-5 win in the series opener. | Salt Lake Bees Photography The Los Angeles Angels’ seventh-rated prospect, Denzer Guzman, may have put together the kind of week that earns him a call-up to the big leagues. The infielder was one of the hottest bats in the PCL during Salt Lake’s series against Tacoma, looking completely in control every time he stepped into the batter’s box. His confidence and comfort at the plate stood out throughout the week. Guzman appeared in all six games and hit .444 (12-for-27) with four doubles, two home runs, seven RBIs, seven runs scored and a stolen base. Both home runs came during Friday’s game as part of his standout series. His individual performance this week makes him a likely candidate for the league’s player of the week honors. Defensively, Guzman continued to impress as well. He has not committed an error since May 9 in Oklahoma City and showed his versatility on the left side of the infield, making strong plays at both shortstop and third base. His arm strength and footwork were especially noticeable throughout the series.Salt Lake has continued to rely on Aldegheri to provide length on the mound, and the Italian left-hander delivered again Friday night. Aldegheri tossed six innings, marking his fourth consecutive start of six innings or more. The southpaw allowed three runs on nine hits and four walks while striking out two. With the outing, Aldegheri reached the 30-strikeout mark on the season and earned his third win of the year.Around the basesThe second series of the homestand had something new every night. Tuesday’s Soccer Night brought out members of the NWSL’s Utah Royals as well as U.S. Soccer Hall of Famer and former Real Salt Lake goalie Nick Rimando. The Dirty Sodas took the field on Wednesday for the fifth time this season, before Thursday’s Talent Show Night showcased the best of the surrounding community. Star Wars Night. | Salt Lake Bees Photography Bumble with star wars characters on Star Wars night. | Salt Lake Bees Photography It was all about the East High Wildcats on Friday, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Disney’s High School Musical. Bart Johnson, who portrayed the role of coach Bolton in the franchise, was on hand as part of the festivities. The Force was strong with Salt Lake on Saturday, as Star Wars took over across the entire ballpark. Characters from the iconic films were present, while the night ended with the second drone show of the season and homestand, themed to the franchise. Finally, it was all about the dogs with Sunday’s Bark in the Park, as the series closed with the final home day game in 2026.What’s on deckThe Bees head east to the Lone Star State, playing six games against the Round Rock Express (Triple-A, Texas Rangers). The weeklong series begins Tuesday at 5:35 p.m. MDT at Dell Diamond. Salt Lake will return home on Tuesday, June 2, in the start of a pivotal series against the Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies — the Albuquerque Isotopes.0 Commentaires 0 Parts 55 Vue 0 Avis

SPORTS.YAHOO.COMCan Dana White deliver 'once-in-a-generation' UFC White House event? The UFC event at the White House will feature some of the world's toughest men, with President Donald Trump expected to watch the brutal and bloody action June 14 on the South Lawn..On Time Magazine’s latest cover is the orchestrator of it all: Dana White, the UFC’s CEO. In a story by Sean Gregory, White shares his disdain for the public disclosure of mental health problems. “Don’t show that weakness to anybody," he told Time.White, 56, has shown little, if any, weakness as the UFC makes final preparations for one of the most audacious events in sports history.“Now we go in and start building all the bells and whistles,” White told the magazine. “We’ve got to get it all dialed in, and then we have to execute that night. We’re putting on the most historic sporting event in history, and now we have to deliver. We will absolutely, positively deliver.”Who’s on Dana White’s guest list?According to Time, White has invited the following celebrities: Adam Sandler, Guy Ritchie, Tom Brady, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jared Leto, Jason Statham and Mario Lopez.UFC expects to lose moneyWhite told Time that the UFC will lose about $30 million on the event. But the investment still will pay off based on the comments of Mark Shapiro, President and Chief Operating Officer of TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of UFC.“This is the greatest earned marketing tool of all time,” Shapiro told Time. “It’s a once-in-a-generation moment. The kind of attention, awareness, and sampling we’re going to get from audiences around the world, on that day alone, will be more than we could get in an entire year.”Dissing Jon JonesWhite has repeatedly called Jon Jones the greatest fighter in UFC history but that wasn’t enough to secure Jones a spot on the White House card. While Jones has said he got lowballed during negotiations over pay, White tells a different story about Jones' omission from the event.“I have to build a card of people that I’m confident in and I believe will show up to the fight,” White told Time. “And Jon Jones is the least dependable guy that you could ever know.”The Tate brothersLast year White invited Andrew and Tristan Tate to one of his "Power Slap'' events. The Tate brothers face charges of rape and human trafficking in Romania and Great Britain and they have denied the charges, When White welcomed them to his event in March 2025, he embraced Andrew Tate.“I have no beef with those guys,” White told the magazine. The birth of UFC Freedom 250It was Trump who initiated the idea for the UFC event at the White House.“Trump planted the seeds for UFC 250, leaning over to White at the 2024 Madison Square Garden fight 11 days after his re-election and suggesting a White House card," Time reports.Initially, Trump objected to Joe Rogan calling the event a “gimmick." No more. “At first I thought, ‘That’s not nice,’” Trump told Time. “And then I realized, it is a gimmick. Life is a gimmick, if you think about it, right? But it’s a good gimmick. It’s something that will never happen again. Nobody will ever have the privilege of doing something like this in front of the White House. It’s going to be very unique. It’s going to be amazing. I think it’s great for America, frankly.”No women on the UFC White House cardThe seven-fight card for the White House event includes a noticeable omission: women.“We did try to make a women’s fight,” White told Time. “We couldn’t get it done.”White said he wanted Zhang Weili of China and Mackenzie Dern, an American and Brazilian fighter, to face off in a title bout, according to Time. But White told the magazine Zhang is taking time off from fighting. This article originally appeared on USA TODAY: White House UFC Freedom 250 card stars Dana White, Donald Trump0 Commentaires 0 Parts 55 Vue 0 Avis

SPORTS.YAHOO.COMMiami Dolphins should play youngsters and bypass veteran additionsMIAMI GARDENS ― The most prudent thing Miami Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan can do now is nothing.Sullivan knows he's about to get some salary cap relief after June 1.Sullivan must know there is absolutely no need to add an even somewhat-costly veteran.Nope. Let the kids play. Sink or swim. What was it Bill Parcells famously said? "If they don't bite when they're puppies, they usually won't bite." Let's let the puppies fight.Wins and losses pale in comparison to setting the right tone and culture for first-year coach Jeff Hafley in 2026. And figuring out who will be a part of the next step. The Dolphins do not need to sign a wide receiver who might take any practice reps or game-day snaps ― any at all ― from young players like Malik Washington, Caleb Douglas, Kevin Coleman, Tahj Washington, Chris Bell (when healthy). There is absolutely no need. The Dolphins do not need to sign a defensive back who might take any practice reps or game-day snaps ― any at all ― from young players like Chris Johnson, Jason Marshall, JuJu Brents, Ethan Bonner, Storm Duck, Dante Trader, Louis Moore and Michael Taaffe. Absolutely no need. These Dolphins are all learning a new staff and a new scheme ― together. It's not like Miami needs some 29-33 year-olds to help the younger players figure out what to do. These coaches are going to make sure they know what to do ― and will hold them accountable to be professionals. At the moment, the Dolphins have 41 players ― forty one!!! ― aged 24 of younger. This is like a collection of kindergarten and 1st graders. And that's no a bad thing. Miami is starting all over.Miami Dolphins news: Salary cap relief is comingMiami has moved on from older or aging stars or big-name players with big egos and bad habits.Bradley Chubb was neither particularly old nor a player with a big ego or bad habits. But Miami's decision to move on from him for financial reasons will free up about $20 million after June 1.Some of that will go to sign the large rookie class. Some of the can be saved.Sullivan seems likely to save it for an emergency roster replacement on a rainy Miami day that is sure to come. It always does. The Dolphins have one of the very youngest rosters in NFL. And it would be ideal if they in fact kick off the 2026 season with the youngest 53-man roster in the entire league.Who can young Dolphins look to as veteran role models if necessary? We say Aaron Brewer, Austin Jackson (if and when he's healthy), Zach Sieler and Jordyn Brooks, to start. Brewer, Sieler and Brooks are the three holdover captains. We expect to be able to say Malik Willis and De'Von Achane and others who emerge as starters ― there is just too much undecided at this point ― in the near future.Young players are far less likely to have preconceived notions, poor work ethic and/or toxic traits.Let them be molded in the form this new Dolphins regime envisions.Miami Dolphins roster is one of youngest in NFLSink or swim. The Dolphins have 21 rookies from their last two draft classes, one shy of being able to field a full offense and defense. SPORTS.YAHOO.COMVingegaard dominates as tempers fray on hot Giro stageVingegaard won the 2022 and 2023 Tours de France [Getty Images]Denmark's two-time Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard dominated the mountainous stage 16 of the Giro d'Italia to increase his overall lead in the pink jersey. The Visma-Lease a Bike rider unleashed a powerful attack with about 10km to go and rode away from his competitors, at times achieving speeds of 23km/h at gradients of 12%.On a hot day in the Italian and Swiss Alps several riders lost time. Italy's Giulio Ciccone became frustrated by the lack of lead he and his fellow breakaway riders had built up, launching a full drinks bottle back at his team helper through spectators on the side of the road. Ciccone's Lidl-Trek team-mate Derek Gee-West and other main contenders for the general classification such as Australia's Michael Storer all started to lose ground to Vingegaard's infernal pace, showing the overwhelming favourite for victory in Rome on Sunday is head and shoulders above the rest of the peloton. In Cari in Switzerland, Vingegaard, after 113km of riding, finished one minute and nine seconds ahead of Austria's Felix Gall of Decathlon-CMA CGM.Gall finished two seconds ahead of Australia's Jai Hindley of Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, the 2022 Giro winner. His Red Bull team-mate Giulio Pellizzari had been a joint contender for pink with Hindley but the Italian blew up on Tuesday's climb, finishing more than 18 minutes behind. The final week of the three-week Giro is infamous for the changing fortunes of riders who have taken a commanding lead into the remaining mountain stages, but no-one expects Vingegaard to suffer.Vingegaard has been patient in taking control of the race, which had been led for nine stages by Portugal's Afonso Eulalio of Bahrain-Victorious.As is customary, 29-year-old Vingegaard kissed a sticker of his family on his handlebars as he crossed the line, and now leads by four minutes and three seconds overall, ahead of Gall. The Netherlands' Thymen Arensman of Netcompany Ineos Cycling is third, 24 seconds further back."My team-mates are very motivated for it," said Vingegaard afterwards. "We wanted to win in the pink jersey, but it can also go wrong so we chose the first option to do it. "I think it was a very hard climb - my team-mates did an amazing job. They pulled from the start and didn't give the breakaway any chances."0 Commentaires 0 Parts 55 Vue 0 Avis

SPORTS.YAHOO.COMSandro Tonali: Man United’s deal for Newcastle star rocked by ArsenalSandro Tonali: Man United’s deal for Newcastle star rocked by ArsenalManchester United face a fierce transfer race with Arsenal to strike a deal for Newcastle United maestro Sandro Tonali, according to the latest reports from Italy.Carrick’s first-choice targetDespite a move for Ederson — Atalanta and Brazil’s 26-year-old dynamo — being at an advanced stage, Michael Carrick is understood to have identified Tonali as his priority target to revamp the midfield. With Casemiro’s time at Old Trafford having come to an end and Manuel Ugarte’s head on the chopping block, United are intent on signing up to three midfielders this summer. The leading contenders are Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson and Real Madrid’s Aurélien Tchouaméni, though pursuits for either are considered increasingly unlikely. This has led to Tonali re-emerging as an option after initial interest cooled in the wake of Newcastle United’s prohibitive £100 million valuation. The Magpies are said to now be willing to accept fees in the region of £85 million for the Italy international.A report relayed by The Peoples Person claimed United were close to sealing a deal with the Tyneside club, with a separate update confirming the plan to add a “marquee midfielder” alongside the capture of Ederson.Italian outlet Calcio Mercatostates “several sources” in England believe United have “reached an agreement” on personal terms with Tonali, with INEOS “ready to launch a decisive assault” for the Lodi native. Arsenal hold talksTutto Mercato Webreports Arsenal have now launched their own raid on St James’ Park after opening talks with Newcastle United in the last few days. The Gunners, crowned as Premier League champions at Selhurst Park on Sunday for the first time in 22 years, are not resting on their laurels, with Mikel Arteta already pushing for reinforcements next season.Aston Villa wizard Morgan Rogers is a player on United’s radar as a potential long-term successor to Bruno Fernandes, but Arteta is said to be “personally leading” a drive to sign the England international. And it now appears a similar attempt is being made to muscle in on the Red Devils’ deal for Tonali, with Arsenal having previously made overtures to sign the 26-year-old Italian in January.Final ThoughtsIn the absence of options like Anderson or Tchouaméni, Tonali is one of the select few targets on Manchester United’s wish list with the requisite balance of physical and technical attributes to thrive in midfield. To lose out on him to Arsenal would be a major blow that INEOS simply cannot afford to let happen.Featured image Mike Hewitt via Getty Imagesonline pollsThe Peoples Person has been one of the world’s leading Man United news sites for over a decade. SPORTS.YAHOO.COMJason Williams cuts ties with Florida after Texas Tech softball spatIt was an emotional weekend for both sides at Katie Seashole Pressley Stadium at the Gainesville Super Regional.Playing host to Texas Tech and former infielder Mia Williams, the Florida softball fans let her hear it. Williams, the daughter of former Gators basketball star Jason Williams, was hit by several pitches during the series, which the Red Raiders won two games to one. It resulted in some chippiness between both sides, including the players and fans.Williams' father was part of the drama, getting into the trash talk and tauntingly Gator chomping the Florida dugout. During an appearance on Wake Up Barstool, Williams seemingly cut ties with his former college team."Was! Was!" Williams said when told he is a Florida legend. SPORTS.YAHOO.COMIs Jacob Misiorowski the front-runner for the NL Cy Young award?National baseball writer Ken Rosenthal tackled a question on his May 26 "Foul Territory" appearance asking if Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski had taken control of the National League Cy Young race at this point to the season. Rosenthal agreed that Miz was leading the way, but the number of contenders for the spot will make it a fierce competition."The NL Cy Young race … could be one of the best in history; right now, we have five starters with ERAs under 2, and the Miz is one of them," Rosenthal said, referring to Christopher Sánchez of the Philadelphia Phillies, Chase Burns of the Cincinnati Reds, Chris Sale and Bryce Elder of the Atlanta Braves among qualified starters."We have a number of great pitchers going right now. [Reigning Cy Young winner and Pirates starter] Paul Skenes doesn't have an ERA under 2, but he's certainly going to be in the conversation. The first test of who the best pitcher in the National League is, 'Who starts the All-Star Game?' And if I had to guess right now, nothing changes, nobody gets hurt, I'd say Miz would be the choice to start the All-Star Game, just to see if he hits 105 [miles per hour], whatever he might do. He is, as you saw yesterday with the 12 strikeouts of the Cardinals, the dominant force in the game right now. It's going to be really interesting to see how this develops. We need everyone to stay healthy to make this the race that we all want it to be. Right now, I would say yes, Miz is the leading contender for the National League Cy."Misiorowski left his start against St. Louis holding a 1.83 ERA, and he's the first pitcher in Major League Baseball to 100 strikeouts. Though he fell short of Teddy Higuera's franchise record for consecutive scoreless innings as a starting pitcher (32, Misiorowski ended at 29), he hasn't yielded an extra-base hit in six games (37 innings), going back to a double by Kyle Stowers on April 25. He hasn't allowed a home run since April 14, a run of 42 innings without permitting one since Wisconsin native Daulton Varsho of Toronto turned the trick.Rosenthal credited the Brewers as one of the teams on a roll, and Misiorowski is naturally a big part of that."It's incredible what he's doing," Rosenthal said. "He hit 103 miles per hour eight times in the first inning, triple digits 57 times on the day … that's 10 more than any pitcher has ever accomplished, at least in the pitch-tracking era. The Miz is a phenomenon, he's a Cy Young contender, and he's not their only ace-like pitcher right now."But don't just assume Misiorowski is the odds-on frontrunner. ESPN and some oddsmakers still saw Sánchez, the Phillies left-hander who's having a tremendous season, as the guy to chase.Fangraphs projections had Misiorowski fourth. BetMGM's latest roundup viewed Skenes as the frontrunner, in a tight race with Sánchez.Sánchez has a stellar 1.62 ERA in 11 starts for the Phillies, including a complete-game shutout, and he has 86 strikeouts in 72 innings of work. He's coming off a huge 2025 season when he worked 202 innings and posted a 2.50 ERA, and Brewers fans might remember some All-Star Game hubbub last year when the Phillies were upset Misiorowski was chosen for the all-star game over someone like Sánchez, who was unavailable to work in the game because he pitched just before the all-star break. The league told the Phillies it was unwilling to name ceremonial roster replacements who wouldn't be available to appear. The Brewers franchise record for strikeouts in a season is 264 by Ben Sheets in 2004. At his current rate (14.0 strikeouts per nine innings, which obliterates the previous best of 12.6 by Corbin Burnes in 2021), Misiorowski would be on pace to reach 312 strikeouts with 200 innings of work. This article originally appeared on Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Think Jacob Misiorowski is front-runner for NL Cy Young? SPORTS.YAHOO.COMESPN writer picks Patriots' worst move of the 2026 offseasonThe New England Patriots had a productive offseason, signing several key players in free agency and making a splash in the 2026 NFL Draft. ESPN's Bill Barnwell recently broke down the best and worst moves by every AFC team this offseason. For the Patriots, Barnwell praised the team for the upgrades along the offensive line, but he clearly wasn't a fan of replacing K'Lavon Chaisson with Dre'Mont Jones as the top veteran edge rusher across from Harold Landry III. Jones signed a three-year, $36.5 million deal with the Patriots, while Chiasson signed a one-year, $11.5 million deal with the Washington Commanders. Barnwell did not completely put a negative spin on the Jones signing, but it's also clear that he felt like the team should have stuck with Chaisson. Barnwell wrote:"Jones is a good pass rusher and a solid player, and the Pats were able to get a two-year commitment, but he's also three years older than Chaisson and a more inconsistent run defender. There’s never any room for sentiment in New England, but it would have been nice to see the Patriots reward one of their developmental success stories from 2025, and there’s a chance Chaisson’s upward trajectory still had some room for growth."Chaisson ended up being one of the Patriots' most productive pass rushers last year, recording 7.5 sacks, 18 quarterback hits and 10 tackles for loss. He was even better in the playoffs with three sacks, four tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one pass deflection through four games. There is fair criticism surrounding the Jones signing after what Chaisson brought to the defense last season. It will be up to the veteran defender to prove that he can elevate—or at the very least sustain—the previous level of production. SPORTS.YAHOO.COMNFL analyst predicts winner of Falcons QB competitionBefore the 2026 NFL season begins the Atlanta Falcons have some work to do. Beyond the usual trimming of the roster from 90 players to 53, the Falcons have to decide on potential contract extensions for Bijan Robinson, Drake London and Kyle Pitts. They also have to figure out who will be starting at quarterback come Week 1 in Pittsburgh.Michael Penix Jr. remains at the top of the team's depth chart at QB. However, a growing chorus of analysts are expecting Tua Tagovailoa to win the quarterback competition and wind up starting for the Falcons. The latest comes from Gary Davenport at Bleacher Report, who is picking Tua over Penix on the strength of the high potential he's shown in the not-too-distant past with the Miami Dolphins."Penix was better in 2025 than in his rookie season, but his injury isn't the only thing leaving him facing an uphill battle. As recently as two years ago, Tagovailoa led the league in completion percentage. The year before that, he paced the NFL with 4,624 passing yards. If Tagovailoa can approach that level of performance in 2026, then he's simply a better quarterback than Penix."Tagovailoa appears to be the better option to start for Atlanta, at least at the outset of the 2026 season. There is a case to be made that the organization would be better served by forcing Penix into the QB1 spot because they used a top-10 overall draft pick on him. Meanwhile, they're only paying Tua the veteran minimum while he collects ridiculous checks from Miami to stand on the Falcons' sideline. At the same time, the Falcons can't afford to waste a season on Penix if he proves not to be better than Tagovailoa. It is fair to point out that Penix hasn't really had a fair chance to get his career off the ground, yet. Last season, Penix started nine games thanks to an ACL injury after making three starts as a rookie. It's very difficult to establish momentum without consistent starts, and the only way NFL quarterbacks can learn to compete against live-game competition is to do it.Ultimately, Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski will have a tough decision to make. Fans just hope Stefanski doesn't drag it out the way he did with the Browns' messy QB competition in 2025.This article originally appeared on Falcons Wire: Atlanta Falcons: Will Tua Tagovailoa beat out Michael Penix at QB?0 Commentaires 0 Parts 55 Vue 0 Avis

SPORTS.YAHOO.COMPlayers won't be stopped from taking stand - Collins on Israel fixturesCollins says the players "have to trust" the FAI when it comes to facing Israel [Getty Images]Republic of Ireland captain Nathan Collins says no member of the squad will be held back if they wanted to "take a stand" against the team's Nations League fixtures with Israel later this year.Earlier this year, the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) confirmed it would fulfil the fixtures, saying there was a real prospect that refusal to play could lead to disciplinary measures, including potential disqualification from the competition. On Tuesday, there was a protest outside the Dáil (Irish parliament) against the FAI's decision to play the games on 27 September and 4 October."What we'd speak about is hard to say, because you need the whole group together. But if individuals wanted to take a stand, we are not going to stand against them, we are not going to hold them back," said Collins, speaking before the Republic of Ireland's friendly with Qatar in Dublin on Thursday. "They are entitled to their own opinions. If they are very strong about that, we can't stop them."The Brentford defender added: "For players we just have to trust the FAI."We have to trust the government that they know what they're doing. We're picked to play football. You know, we're picked to represent our country. "It's a tough situation for us to be in and we have to trust the people around us, that they know what they are doing."Pressure group Irish Sport For Palestine has also called for a boycott, citing what it describes as "clear and ongoing serious breaches of Uefa and Fifa statute regarding Israeli teams playing on occupied Palestinian lands" and "a brutal system of apartheid and genocide, both of which are accepted by the Irish government".Israel has regularly denied committing genocide or war crimes and has said its actions in Gaza have been justified as a means of self-defence.The conflict in Gaza followed the Hamas-led attack on southern Israel on 7 October 2023, in which about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken hostage.Israel responded to the attack by launching a military campaign in Gaza, during which more than 72,500 people have been killed, according to the territory's health ministry.'I had a lot of ups and downs'Collins captained the Republic of Ireland in March's agonising penalty shootout loss to Czech Republic in Prague [Getty Images]Collins is set to lead the Republic of Ireland against Qatar on Thursday (19:45 BST) and World Cup co-hosts Canada in Montreal on 6 June (00:30) after a disappointing end to the Premier League season as Brentford narrowly missed out on European qualification. The 25-year-old started all but six of Brentford's league games, working his way back into Keith Andrews' line-up after briefly falling out of favour. "Individually I had a lot of ups and downs," he admitted."I think at the start of the season I took a lot on. I became club captain and of my country, which I'm proud as anything of and I love it. Probably at the start I took too much on and took it too seriously, and I tried to change too much what I needed to do for the team."I felt like the longer the season went on, I found more my role as captain and what I had to be to be a good captain for the team. "Brentford is a club that's run by the players, so it doesn't need one player to run it all. The longer the season has gone on, I've learned that and I've used the lads around me, and it has probably freed myself up a bit."Collins also insisted he still feels "enthusiasm" and "excitement" for the Qatar and Canada games despite the Republic of Ireland's heartbreaking World Cup play-off loss to the Czech Republic in March."I still get to represent my country," he said."I still get to walk out with the green shirt on. I still get to play on an international stage. And I think the longer my career has gone, the more I've learned that you can't take these things for granted."They don't happen to everyone... and it's so easily slipped out of your hand as well. So I just try to enjoy it, get excited and try to enjoy playing for my country."Moylan called into much-changed Republic of Ireland squadMelia receives first Republic of Ireland call-up0 Commentaires 0 Parts 55 Vue 0 Avis

SPORTS.YAHOO.COM‘Inside the NBA’ astonished by robot humanoidsCredit: ESPNRobot humanoids may not be quite ready to take over the world just yet, but they are getting closer each and every day. And Inside the NBA was the latest to come uncomfortably close to the realization that the human race will soon become totally irrelevant.Long after the Knicks destroyed the Cavs in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Inside the NBA was doing what they do best by shifting the conversation to something totally outside of basketball. After all, how many different ways can you talk about the Cavs quitting? So for EJ’s Neat-O Stat of the Night, Ernie Johnson called out the number of companies that Shaquille O’Neal is a spokesman for. That includes a new tech company called tm:rw (pronounced tomorrow, naturally). Move over Papa John’s and The General. That’s when things got really interesting. The show brought out some of the company’s humanoids to entertain the cast and crew. You haven’t really lived until you have seen Charles Barkley dance with a miniature robot or see it do karate with Shaq. SPORTS.YAHOO.COMSteelers’ Aaron Rodgers sends clear message about developing Drew Allar vs. Will HowardThe Pittsburgh Steelers may have hit the jackpot in Aaron Rodgers, not only for what he'll bring to the offense in 2026, but for how he'll mentor two young, promising quarterbacks this offseason.Speaking with reporters during media availability at OTAs, Rodgers made it clear that, while it's not required, he's excited to not only develop rookie Drew Allar, but continue mentoring Will Howard as well."It's not in my job description, but I think it's a great opportunity for sure," Rodgers said. "To be able to mentor those guys means a lot to me. … I'll try and mentor Drew as much as he wants me to, and keep staying on Will."The Steelers selected Howard with the 185th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and Allar with the 76th overall pick in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.Howard has an advantage over Allar after developing behind Rodgers for an additional year, which will hopefully be on display this offseason as he competes with Mason Rudolph for the QB2 role. For up-to-date Steelers coverage, including any offseason moves, follow us on X @TheSteelersWire and give our Facebook page a like. This article originally appeared on Steelers Wire: Steelers' Aaron Rodgers says he'll develop both Drew Allar and Will Howard0 Commentaires 0 Parts 55 Vue 0 Avis

SPORTS.YAHOO.COMWill Rutgers Sports Be Better in 2026-2027 After Rough 2025-2026 Campaign? In a recent article by Zach Barnett of FootballScoop.com, he pointed out that Rutgers Athletics has missed the postseason in every single sport that his site covers: football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, softball, baseball, and volleyball, being the only Power Four school to do so last season. The article itself is an overall tough read for Rutgers fans, as it replays the harsh realities of the last athletic year on the field and on the court while bringing up other matters, such as the athletic department’s deficit. However, it does a good job at pointing out the obvious; despite having strong seasons from a few of its lesser talked about programs, the 2025-2026 athletics year was a rough one for Rutgers fans. That now begs the question, will it get better next season, not just in terms of reaching post season, but overall? In terms of football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball, there is a strong reason to say yes. Football last season was held back by a defense that set records for poor performance under a coordinator who struggled to remain in that position for more than two years wherever he was hired. With the hire of former South Dakota head coach/defensive coordinator Travis Johansen, Rutgers appears to have landed an up-and-coming talent in the coaching world who led the Coyotes to the FCS playoffs, largely due to having a very strong defense. This alone makes it hard to imagine that there won’t be a step forward on that side of the ball. Couple that with Rutgers’ retaining wide receiver KJ Duff and running back Antwan Raymond on the other side of the ball, and bowl eligibility becomes a reasonable expectation, which is an overall improvement from 5-7 last season. In addition to football, both men’s and women’s basketball have had good offseasons so far. Men’s basketball retained the core group of players they wanted to keep around while going out and gaining promising players such as former Virginia Tech center Christian Gurdak, former NEC player of the year Darin Smith Jr, and Coastal Carolin guard Rasheed Jones. While these additions likely won’t lead to an NCAA tournament birth, the performance on the court should be better than it was last season, with their talent getting infused with the continued development of guys like Lino Mark and Kaden Powers. Women’s basketball has arguably had the best offseason of all three, hiring new head coach Gary Redus II, who has brought in several transfers with Power Four experience. These transfers include highly rated New Jersey natives Mia and Mya Pauldo, who spent their first season at Tennessee before deciding to come home. With the extremely poor play on the court last season, the infusion of talent coming through the portal, and the new coaching staff overall, the on-court product should take a step forward this offseason. Making the tournament is another matter entirely, but a step forward is still a step forwardIt is hard to determine where Softball, Baseball, and Volleyball will end up next season with the information we have right now, especially since baseball’s transfer portal hasn’t opened yet. All three should yield some sort of benefit with the increase in support coming from the various efforts of athletic director Keli Zinn, but it is hard to tell right now how much of a difference that will make. Softball finished the season with a .500 record but struggled in Big Ten play. Baseball has taken a step back over the past few years, hovering around .500 and barely making the Big Ten tournament before being eliminated. Volleyball did take a step forward last season, doubling its previous win total, but still went 3-17 in Big Ten play. This is not to say they won’t improve next season, but it is hard to predict with the information we have right now.0 Commentaires 0 Parts 55 Vue 0 Avis

SPORTS.YAHOO.COMBills' Josh Allen focused on changing narrative at start of 2026 seasonBills' Josh Allen focused on changing narrative at start of 2026 season originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here. The Buffalo Bills will begin their 2026 campaign with a tough road matchup against the Houston Texans and Josh Allen has one goal for that contest. The goal has to do with Allen getting over the hump against the Texans, a team he is 1-3 against in the regular season during his career.Allen has especially struggled in Houston, where he has never won a game in four tries (including playoffs).“In terms of looking at the schedule, I really don’t. I know that we got Houston game one... The only thing that really strikes out to me is the first game. It’s at Houston, a place that I particularly haven’t played very well at, so I gotta do everything in my power to kinda change that narrative there,” he said on the Centered on Buffalo podcast. In four career regular season games against the Texans, Allen has completed just 56.7% of his passes for 716 yards and three touchdowns to three picks. His only career victory over the Texans came in Buffalo in 2021, when the Bills crushed Houston, 40-0.In the 2019 playoff meeting with Houston, Allen threw for 264 yards but didn't score through the air. He also added 92 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries.Changing the narrative at Houston in Week 1 won't be easy, as the Texans will sport one of the NFL's best defenses once again this coming season.Houston ranked sixth against the pass, fourth against the run and gave up the second-fewest points per contest in 2025.The Texans also sported a top-notch pass-rush after finishing tied for the seventh-most sacks in the league. While the Bills will have a difficult start to their season, Buffalo's schedule overall isn't too daunting.According to Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis, the Bills will have the 14th-easiest schedule in the NFL based on projected win totals for their opponents from Vegas oddsmakers.Buffalo has the second-toughest schedule in the AFC East, though, with the New York Jets and New England Patriots both having easier slates. The poor Miami Dolphins bring up the rear with the toughest slate in the division, and Miami has the second-toughest schedule in the entire NFL, also.MORE NFL NEWSNFL insiders give very different takes on Patriots-Eagles Brown tradeGermie Bernard hype shows Steelers WR could make immediate impactRaiders' Klint Kubiak just sent Ashton Jeanty's 2026 stock through the roof0 Commentaires 0 Parts 55 Vue 0 Avis

SPORTS.YAHOO.COMWhy Alex Palou wasn't disqualified after failing Indy 500 tech inspectionDespite not passing IndyCar's technical inspection after the Indianapolis 500, Alex Palou and the No. 10 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda were not disqualified from the race. Palou and the car maintained their seventh-place finish in the race, but Palou was penalized five championship points, and the team was fined $10,000.During the post-race technical inspection, IndyCar Officiating found that the No. 10 car's front wing height was not 8.3 inches off the ground, breaking Rule 14.7.6.7.1 in IndyCar's rulebook. IndyCar determined that the car, which passed the pre-race technical inspection, had its wing height altered by an assembly error rather than an intentional modification. Chip Ganassi Racing accepted Palou's five-point penalty and the fine."During technical inspection following Sunday’s Indianapolis 500, a part failure was discovered in the front wing assembly of the No. 10 car," Chip Ganassi Racing said in a statement Sunday night. "The failure caused the wing to fall out of compliance with IndyCar's technical parameters post-race, resulting in a $10,000 fine and a five-point penalty in the championship standings. Chip Ganassi Racing did not attempt to gain an unfair advantage in the race, and accepts this penalty."Palou remains first in IndyCar's championship, holding a 37-point lead over Team Penske's David Malukas, who crossed the bricks 0.0233 seconds after Felix Rosenqvist (whose Meyer Shank Racing team has a technical alliance with CGR). Palou is chasing his fifth IndyCar championship and fourth in a row. After last year's Indy 500, Prema Racing's No. 90 Chevrolet — driven by Callum Ilott — was disqualified after failing a post-race after its front left wing failed to meet the minimum endplate height. Ilott, who finished 12th on the track, was given a 33rd-place finish following the disqualification. The difference between Palou and Ilott's penalties, in IndyCar Officiating's eyes, is intent. CGR's issue resulted in an out-of-tolerance condition resulting from the car's assembly error. A source familiar with the situation told IndyStar that Prema — which hasn't returned to IndyCar after its inaugural season in 2025 — swapped out the No. 90 car's front wing on the grid after passing the pre-race technical inspection. The new wing, which wasn't high enough off the ground, led to Prema receiving an "improper conduct" penalty, which CGR was not assessed.IndyCar is in the first year of IndyCar Officiating and the Independent Officiating Board (IOB), led by its managing director of officiating (MDO) Scot Elkins. Elkins' first day in the newly created role was May 11, making the Indy 500 his first race in the position. Elkins is seen as the CEO of the IOB and officiating, as he spends races in race control and oversees technical inspections.Since Elkins began ahead of Indy 500 qualifying, three cars have failed technical inspections. After qualifying, Caio Collet's No. 4 AJ Foyt Racing Chevrolet and Jack Harvey's No. 24 Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Chevrolet failed technical inspections due to modifications to their Energy Management System Covers. Those cars were re-racked to the back of the starting grid and received zero points from qualifying. In the six races (and qualifying sessions) prior to Elkins' onboarding, no cars failed IndyCar Officiating's technical inspections. Now, failed inspections have occurred in consecutive weekends, although the penalty for Palou and CGR wasn't deemed severe enough for a complete disqualification.Zion Brown is IndyStar's motorsports reporter. APNEWS.COMEarly voting begins in South Carolina as senators weigh scrapping primary for congressional racesRep. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)2026-05-26T17:12:59Z COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Early in-person voting began Tuesday in South Carolina’s primaries, as state senators considered whether to cancel the congressional votes and instead schedule a new primary under revised districts designed to help Republicans oust a longtime Democrat. Among the first to cast an early ballot in the small city of Orangeburg was U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn, the Democrat whose district Republicans are trying to reshape in their quest for a clean sweep of South Carolina’s seven congressional seats. A defiant Clyburn insisted he would run for reelection, regardless of what the district looks like. “I’m OK if it’s Trump plus 20,” Clyburn said while describing the potential Republican advantage in a reshaped district. “I would be running where I live.”The political drama in South Carolina is part of a Republican strategy — propelled President Donald Trump — to redraw voting districts to the GOP’s advantage in an attempt to hold on to a slim House majority in the midterm elections. Republicans have been moving quickly to try to leverage a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that weakened minority protections under the federal Voting Rights Act. But the GOP suffered a setback Tuesday in Alabama, where a three-judge federal panel issued a preliminary injunction blocking the state from using a Republican-drawn congressional map that could help the GOP win an additional seat. The court said the Republican plan “intentionally discriminated based on race” by including only one Black-majority district and ordered the continued use of a court-imposed map that includes two districts with a significant proportion of Black residents. Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, a Republican, vowed a quick appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court and predicted an eventual victory. Read More Democrats, who have suffered their own share of setbacks in the national redistricting battle, praised the turn of events in Alabama. The “fight for justice is far from over in states across the country where politicians are enacting gerrymanders on top of gerrymanders to erase equal representation for communities of color,” said Marina Jenkins, executive director of the National Redistricting Foundation, a nonprofit affiliate of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee. The national redistricting battle has spanned 10 monthsVoting districts typically are redrawn after a census at the start of a decade. But Trump has urged Republican-led states to redistrict ahead of the November elections to try to rebuff political headwinds, which typically result in lost congressional seats for the president’s party in midterms.Since Trump first urged Texas to redraw its voting districts last summer, Republicans also have enacted new House districts in Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida and Tennessee. Meanwhile, voters in California adopted new Democratic-drawn districts, and a court imposed a favorable map for Democrats in Utah. Democrats suffered a setback in Virginia, where the state Supreme Court invalidated a voter-approved redistricting plan that could have helped Democrats win additional seats. Redistricting discussions are ongoing in Louisiana following an April high court ruling that struck down a majority-Black congressional district as an illegal partisan gerrymander. The Louisiana House could vote later this week on a new map that could eliminate a seat held by Democratic U.S. Rep. Cleo Fields and improve Republicans’ chances of winning six out of the state’s seven seats. The Congressional Black Caucus on Tuesday called on major corporations across the U.S., including those that previously expressed support for voting rights and racial justice, to oppose redistricting efforts by Republican-led states that seek to eliminate majority-Black U.S. House districts. That comes after the caucus last week called for Black athletes to boycott public universities in states that are gerrymandering congressional maps to eliminate districts held by Black lawmakers. Clyburn decries White House role in redistrictingMore than 26,000 votes were cast in South Carolina by noon Tuesday on the first day of early voting for the June 9 primary after Democrats called for people against a proposed new map to turn out in force. In 2022, about 125,000 early votes were cast the entire two weeks. The Republican-led House already has passed a plan that would reconfigure Clyburn’s district, void the results of current congressional primaries and instead hold new U.S. House primaries in August. Trump has lobbied for the plan, making at least two phone calls to Republican state Senate Majority Leader Shane Massey and also phoning in to a private meeting of Republican senators earlier this month. He also has maintained the pressure on social media.Debate has stalled in the Senate, where Democrats are staunchly opposed and some GOP lawmakers have concerns that an aggressive redistricting could backfire by making some Republican-held seats susceptible to losses because of the addition of Democratic voters. Clyburn noted that when state lawmakers last redrew congressional districts, after the 2020 census, they spent months holding meetings across the state to gather public suggestions. Although that map resulted in a 6-1 seat advantage for Republicans over Democrats, the process was orderly and fair, he said. “When the map was challenged, the U.S. Supreme Court said, yes, this is constitutional,” Clyburn said. But now, “this White House says, to hell with the process, to hell with the Constitution, just do what we want done.”___Chandler reported from Montgomery, Alabama, and Lieb from Jefferson City, Missouri. SPORTS.YAHOO.COMWill Bryce Underwood avoid the 'Hackenberg' trap? The annual spring game did little to inspire confidence from Michigan football fans in second-year quarterback Bryce Underwood, despite all of the talk from Kyle Whittingham noting he's making marked improvements. While there has been some experience in Ann Arbor of not seeing signal callers reaching their full potential, it's more of a theme beyond just the maize and blue. And that's precisely where ESPN also has concerns. The worldwide leader took all of the quarterbacks in college football and put them into tiers. As for Underwood, he fell in line with two other second-year quarterbacks, who each also showed promise as starters in their freshman campaigns, but are in danger of perhaps not developing beyond their opening foray. As ESPN calls it, it's 'the Christian Hackenberg Paradox,' named after the former Penn State phenom-turned-borderline bust.Tier 5: The Christian Hackenberg Paradox (three players)BYU (Bear Bachmeier)California (Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele)Michigan (Bryce Underwood)Already picking on former Penn State quarterbacks, let's use Hackenberg as another example of a unique QB subset.Flashback to 2011, when Hackenberg, a 6-foot-4 archetype for a quarterback, earned Penn State's starting job as a true freshman and wowed, throwing 20 touchdown passes and announcing himself as a burgeoning star, a near certain first-round NFL draft pick. From there, things didn't quite go as planned. There was a coaching change and too many turnovers and, while he did ultimately get drafted in the second round due almost entirely to his measurables, his NFL career amounted to just a few snaps in the preseason. The point is, true freshmen putting up impressive seasons is a rarity and it often portends greatness. But not always. Witness the DJ Lagway roller coaster from 2024 to 2025 as another prime example. And so Tier 5: Three highly regarded QBs who looked, at times, like elite players as true freshmen in 2025 but whose miscues left at least a little room for concern over their future development. At least one -- and maybe all three -- of these QBs will be a first-round draft pick in 2028. But, it's also possible there's a Hackenberg in here, too.Did you know?Just 16.6% of Underwood's throws last year came vs. man coverage, the lowest rate among Power 4 QBs.Underwood was off target on 20% of his throws beyond the line of scrimmage last year, the fourth-worst rate among returning quarterbacks.Given that Underwood is in the same category as Bachmeier and Sagopolutele indicates less that it's the obvious trajectory rather than he's got some ways to go to become a Trevor Lawrence or Vince Young type -- which is, oddly enough, reasonable given his traits and recruiting ranking of being the former No. 1 overall. But much of the discourse this offseason has seemingly eschewed the idea that Underwood is still young and in development. Even if he didn't progress much in his first year, with a new staff this time around (unlike Hackenberg moving from Bill O'Brien to James Franklin), he has coaches who should be more capable at putting and keeping him on the right track. But until he starts to showcase more of his skills in a consistent fashion, there will be concerns about who and what he can be at the college level. As noted, he does have elite traits, and that's likely enough to get him into the NFL, no matter how his college career goes. But fans in and around Ann Arbor are yearning for much more than that -- especially after the last two years. This article originally appeared on Wolverines Wire: Will Bryce Underwood avoid the 'Hackenberg' trap0 Commentaires 0 Parts 55 Vue 0 Avis

THEONION.COMPete Hegseth Shaking With Rage After Imagining Plus-Sized AstronautWASHINGTON—Growing increasingly angry and pacing his office, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth was reportedly shaking with rage Tuesday after imagining a plus-sized astronaut. “Ugh, it makes me fucking sick to think about some fat ass floating through space making Americans look like pathetic slobs,” said Hegseth, a large vein pulsating across his beet-red forehead as he visualized a portly mission specialist drifting toward the food station for a third helping of rehydrated beef stroganoff. “I’m so pissed I can barely breathe imagining an obese couch potato waddling around NASA. When I close my eyes, I can see these lardos orbiting above our perfect country, and it makes me want to punch someone. Chiseled Russian cosmonauts and svelte Japanese pilots sharing a capsule with a dumpy American in an XXXL spacesuit—it’s unacceptable!” At press time, sources confirmed Hegseth had flipped his desk over after realizing the overweight astronaut could also be a woman. SPORTS.YAHOO.COMTodd Bowles: We expect Bucky Irving back sometime in the summer or fallBuccaneers running back Bucky Irving was limited to 10 games last season due to injury. He’s on the mend after undergoing offseason shoulder surgery, but is not yet participating as Tampa Bay gets its OTA practices started this week.According to multiple reporters on the scene, Irving got on the field midway through the day’s session and worked on the side with trainers and running backs coach Skip Peete.“[H]e’s coming along fine,” Bucs head coach Todd Bowles said after the session, via PewterReport.com. “We expect him sometime back in the summer or fall, and we’ll look forward to him when he gets back.”That Bowles would mention the fall when discussing Irving’s return is a bit of an eyebrow raiser. But it is still late May, giving Irving months to recover before Tampa Bay’s Week 1 matchup against the Bengals.Irving rushed for 588 yards with one touchdown and caught 30 passes for 277 yards with three TDs last season. As a rookie in 2024, he rushed for 1,122 yards with eight touchdowns and caught 47 passes for 392 yards.0 Commentaires 0 Parts 55 Vue 0 Avis
